This part, if Glen and his staff were a little bit more knowledgeable of the internal Chinese Communist Party history, and particulary the "1947" period Comrade Anita Dunn of the White House so BOLDLY proclaimed to the D.C.-area high school students this summer in her reference to Mao Zedong, may well have jumped out of the video at them.

I believe the Maryland-elite Red Guard's comments in the Washington National Cathedral were:

"In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said, "How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?" And Mao Zedong said, you know, "You fight your war, and I'll fight mine." And think about that for a second." (End Quote)

I personally believe one and maybe THE reason this lady mentioned 1947 so highbrow-ish, pronounced and specifically to those poor high school kids is that she, too, coming from an educated, elite Marxist Revolutionary position quite familiar with Modern Chinese history knows that--just as she asserted--that year in fact represented pivotal internal struggles within the CCP, and represented the biggest ramp up of terror and it's political tactics to win the Communist Revolution at any cost.

Now, on Friday morning, I say to the various apologists and spinners for the Obama White House's Ms. Dunn and her disgusting, unacceptable public words, HOW DOES MS. DUNN's "1947", which she spouts so energetically, have anything to do with "mere philosophy" or "choices" as you parse words?

In my own estimation and maybe sensing of things, I believe herein lies why she does really in fact admire Mao, and has thought it over thoroughly through the years. Again, we need only study just 1947, a year in which I found other references detailing the Chinese Communist Party was internally divided as to how radical it needed to get, including significant escalation of of political purges. Chairman Mao Zedong was on the considerably more bloody, terror side of that division in that year.

So apparantly is admirer Anita Dunn.

Go ahead. Watch the Anita Dunn tape again. Why in the hell is this person even in the White House?

Stop the Federal Usurpation

Time to tell Washington to STFU - Stop The Federal Usurpation. Federal usurpation of individual state rights continues to erode and to limit the ability of state governments to operate according to their own citizen's directives. Since, as the original intent of the Constitution directed, the best government is one which governs closer to the people and Federal Usurpation is the greatest threat we face today, it is time to tell Washington to STFU.

It saddens me that so many people will hear this news and say "meh". Most Americans have a natural revulsion to Hilter (as they should) but don't bat an eyelash at Mao, who makes Hitler look like a damn piker.

BTW, I hope someone in Glenn's staff noticed the "lizard tongue" and is checking her background for possible drug abuse...

Apparently you think being a communist is a negative.

As an aside, it occurs to me that obama has never been asked point blank what his political and economic philosophies are, and why he holds them.

Barack Obama is a communist, just like his scum father. Whichever one that may be.

That you have members of the Obama administration openly declaring
that Mao is one of their "favorite philosophers" shows you the kind
of kooks and lunatics that are running the government now.
"Lunatics running the asylum."

Then there's the "science czar" who wants to dope the water supply
with anti-fertility sterilization drugs for coercive population control.
And they're fact-checking the Saturday Night Live skits?
No one in the administration is "ready for primetime"!

Repeatedly, we hear the left aligning itself with philosophies and regimes that engage in violent repression, torture, genocide and politicly motivated murder. Given their hostility toward Israel and endorsement of mass murder, one wonders why they don’t embrace Hitler and the Nazis. Is America going to be another country that allows its people to be herded into concentration camps and gas chambers while they cling to the fantasy that it can’t happen to them?

I remember seeing the authors of “Mao, The Untold Story” on BookTV
(C-Span2; weekends) doing a short lecture on their book at one of
the departments at Harvard.

After they made their reasonable argument that, of everyone in China,
Mao had the least love for the peasantry...as he starved them by
taking so much of their rice crops to sell on the international
market to raise $$$ to get nuclear weapons.

Of course, I wasn’t shocked when some aging guy (probably an emeritus
academician) complained that “Your book isn’t being fair to a
great man!” during the Q&A session.

PS: IIRC, Dubya was spotted carrying this book soon after it’s publication.

Where is the elite media and Far Left mockery of Dunn that, not too long ago, was showered on a Presidential candidate who, when questioned about his favorite political philosopher, answered, "Jesus Christ."

Their ignorance then overlooked the fact that Thomas Jefferson, who penned America's Declaration of Independence which laid out the philosophical foundations of a written Constitution to protect the "Creator-endowed" rights of citizens, in others of his writings declared that Jesus "preached philanthropy and universal charity and benevolence," and that "a system of morals is presented to us [by Jesus], which, if filled up in the style and spirit of the rich fragments he left us, would be the most perfect and sublime that has ever been taught by man."

He wrote, "His moral doctrines...were more pure and perfect than those of the most correct of the philosophers...and they went far beyond both in inculcating universal philanthropy, not only to kindred and friends, to neighbors and countrymen, but to all mankind, gathering all into one family, under the bonds of love, charity, peace, common wants, and common aids," which, Jefferson said, "will evince the peculiar superiority of the system of Jesus over all others."

Comparing the Hebrew code which, according to Jefferson, "laid hold of actions only," "He [Jesus] pushed his scrutinies into the heart of man; erected his tribunal in the region of his thoughts, and purified the waters at the fountain head."

That Jefferson cut out the statements which he believed to be directly attributable to Jesus, pasted them into a little book which he kept by his bed and read from them daily, might lead one to conclude that his political philosphy may have been influenced by what he considered to be the superiority of the "philosophy" of Jesus.

It is unlikely that any person alive today has read the writings of as many of the great philosophers as Jefferson. His talents and abilities were legend. His devotion to liberty and to the ideas essential to liberty were based on simple principles, some of which, undoubtedly, came from his understanding of the basic law underlying all valid human law: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Jefferson understood that the philosophy capsulated in that idea has the power, if incorporated into individual behavior, to make people in a society more benevolent, more loving, more caring, and more willing to take care of each other.

There is a sharp contrast between a philosophy of love and the politics which motivated Mao, today's radical terrorists, as well as the radical Left which now accumulates power and spouts its personal hatred in our partisan politics. Thomas Jefferson summarized an idea that tyrants of all political persuasions deny by their seeking power over other people's lives: "The God who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."

Chairman Mao's philosophy doesn't even come close to the philosophy underlying America's Constitution.

"No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another; and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him." - Jefferson, 1816

Class warfare was ready to boil over in China since the fall of the last Manchu ruler and first Republic in 1911. It serves as a lesson to all nations on what happens when a few rich people run an entire nation. Obviously the Communist are anti rich and once they seize power they will go after them, but the anger of the peasants at the rich in China is also genuine. Dominant local families during KMT actually ran many local provinces. Many even had their own armies, imposed taxes, shut out all competitors, bribed KMT officials, loaned money to peasants that they knew they cannot repay and ended up creating indentured servants out of them. Their adult children can wander about and do almost anything with little or no legal consequences. When the Communist took over, all they had to do is unleash this resevoir of anger. (People in government and Wall Street bankstas should take note, screwing Main Street will have consequences). Here is the biggest irony for the Communist Chinese, today their Communist local officials and their family members are acting like the spoil thugs/brats of the warlords they punished. Must be a Chinese thing.

Many Americans don't know that their countrymen fought and died in the Chinese Civil War. US forces were in China in the late 1940's propping up Chang's nationalist government. Here's an excerpt from my Dad's USMC record:
EMB USS ROI (CVE-103) AT GUAM, M.I. ON 18JAN46 & SAILED THEREFROM;
ARR TAKU, CHINA 25JAN46 & DISEMB 28JAN46
PARTICIPATED IN OCCUPATION TIENTSIN, CHINA.
16JUL47 EMB & SAILED ABOARD USS GEN. ANDERSON FR TSINGTAO, CHINA
That's about 18 months on the Chinese mainland. My Dad said is was basicly a guerrilla war. Semper Fi.
