WASHINGTON - The unprecedented number of death threats against President Obama, a rise in racist hate groups, and a new wave of antigovernment fervor threaten to overwhelm the US Secret Service, according to government officials and reports, raising new questions about the 144-year-old agency’s overall mission.
The Secret Service is tracking a far broader range of possible threats to the nation’s leaders, the officials said, even as it also investigates financial crimes such as counterfeiting as part of its original mandate.
The new demands are leading some officials, both inside and outside the agency, to raise the possibility of the service curtailing or dropping its role in fighting financial crime to focus more on protecting leaders and their families from assassination attempts and thwarting terrorist plots aimed at high-profile events.

So if this is true - and I have no reason to doubt that it isn’t - the alleged increase of threats against Obama are just that - and in fact are yet MORE lies told by the Leftards for political reasons.
I doubt if Obama is the only psychopath on the Left....
The creation of an Obama Brown Shirts(CNS) appears to be one part of the Leftard game of alleged vast number of threats against Zero, but the other part is to turn the Secret Service into a full time OBAMA SECRET SERVICE (secret police) with a total focus on The One.
As it stands now the SS also investigates financial wrong doing and hence has a dual mission. If this dual mission is changed to a single one - the “protection of the president” - a new Praetorian Guard is created that will go after ALL critics of the president, if history is a teacher.
If you’ll recall in Nazi Germany, the streets were controlled by SA - the storm troopers - and the “Protection Squads” - the Nazi SS - were originally charged with protecting Hitler and other high Nazi officials. Then “mission creep” kicked in and by the end of WW II, the SS had many divisions of combat troops, “The Death Head” units in charge of the concentration camps and their own intelligence section.
Bottom line: CNS to control the streets and the Obama Secret Service (OSS)to control everything else.
