Ex-Government Scientist Arrested on Espionage Charges
Fox News ^ | October 19, 2009

WASHINGTON — A scientist who worked for the Defense Department, a White House space council and other agencies was arrested Monday on charges of attempting to pass along classified information to an FBI agent posing as an Israeli intelligence officer.

Stewart David Nozette, 52, of Chevy Chase, Md., was charged in a criminal complaint with attempting to communicate, deliver and transmit classified information, the Justice Department said. The complaint does not allege that the government of Israel or anyone acting on its behalf violated U.S. law.

Nozette was arrested by FBI agents. He is expected to make his initial appearance in federal court in Washington on Tuesday.

Nozette worked in varying jobs for the Energy Department, NASA and — in 1989 and 1990 — the National Space Council in the president's office. He developed the Clementine bi-static radar experiment that purportedly discovered water on the south pole of the moon. He worked at the Energy Department's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he designed highly advanced technology, from approximately 1990 to 1999.

At Energy, Nozette held a special security clearance equivalent to the Defense Department's top secret and "critical nuclear weapon design information" clearances. DOE clearances apply to access to information specifically relating to atomic or nuclear-related materials.

Apparently the perp’s real name is Stewart David Nozette.

Its interesting that in the MSNBC article there is no mention of his trip “to a foreign country”.

Things generally don’t go well for people who attempt to pass on US military secrets to foreign countries.

But hey, who knows? It’s a new day, a new administration. One that openly blabs about a top-secret bunker underneath the Vice-Presidential mansion. Maybe this guy will get a medal instead of hard jail time.

When I saw the headline I figured the traitor Nozette was sharing State secrets with these Soros puppets and commie moles in the administration of the Marxist Hussein Obummer. Patriots can only dream, at this point, of the day of reckoning for these maggots and their boss.

Of course, the FBI agent *could* have been posing as an Iranian, al Qaeda, Egyptian, Syrian, North Korean... but no, this is the Obama administration.

If he was passing information to Russia, China, Iran, etc. he would get a promotion.

Read the FBI Affidavit. The guy thought he’d been passing information to Mossad for ten years, trying to help the “homeland.” He clearly wouldn’t have done this for anybody but Israel. That’s why he was targetted by the FBI — the predisposition was well-established. FBI and DOJ are eager to say that Israel wasn’t involved ... maybe so, maybe CYA.
