Sarah Palin wants to sell some books. She is giving an interview to Oprah Winfrey that will air Monday, Nov. 16.
Winfrey has the golden touch when it comes to pushing books.
The Winfrey folks called the interview a "world exclusive." It will be Palin's first interview to promote her book, "Going Rogue: An American Life."
And people said this meeting would never happen! What do you think about this?
The interview will air during the important November ratings period, so Palin should help Winfrey, too.
That's how the book business works, folks.
The interview will be Palin's first appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Winfrey was a staunch supporter of Barack Obama in last year's presidential election. Former Alaska Gov. Palin was John McCain's running mate.
The Winfrey folks are calling the show "The Oprah Winfrey Show: Exclusive -- Oprah Talks to Sarah Palin."

And Sarah Palin’s Facebook page will pick up even more supporters once she’s on Oprah and women who don’t follow politics get to meet her.
If Oprah gets too bitchy towards her, Sarah can tell O to "get back on the porch", can't she?
Sarah can also bring up another question, by way of breaking the ice: "Did you enjoy your trip to Copenhagen?"
The moment she steps on stage the audience response will send a chill down your spine. Recall, Ophra is no Letterman fan.
Sarah will get an opportunity to address those who only get SECOND hand information on who she is and what she says. She will have as her audience those who only watch the alphabets news (if at all)..
I detest most of what O stands for (both of them) but think she will get converts along the way.

Its already had more pre-orders than any other political book, so why go on Oprah?

She can’t hide and we can’t treat her like a fragile porcellain doll. The Couric and Gibson interviews were screwed up by the McCain staff because they let them be edited. As long as the Oprah interview is live and unedited I don’t mind it at all.
You’re right - LIVE is the way to go. Had Katie Couric’s show been live I think we’d have seen a very different Sarah. Same for all the other shows Juan McLame’s team had her appear on.

But why give ratings to an 0bama loving POS who wouldn't let you appear on her show during the presidential elections, even while putting 0bozo on her show and shilling for his campaign?

Because the non-political, house frau dingbats in Oprah's audience are exactly the people she needs to win over if she hopes to win any national elections.
Plus, they buy whatever Oprah tells them to buy.
That rancid nest of foaming at the mouth rabid liberal moonbats that watch OW show are the last (sub)humans on earth that Palin will ever impress. All she will do by rubbing elbows with those clowns is alienate the people that support her.
Its a lose/lose opportunity.

Oprah is watched by many suburban mothers... sad but true. They are a good clientel for Palin, but too many don’t know her. A LIVE interview will get her message to many of them. If she can interest a bunch of them for either her cause or book it makes sense.
I applaud her for going on dOpe-rah’s show but she’d better be prepared to be sandbagged like Tom Sellic was on Rosey’s show when he went on to promote a book.
So Sarah even rescues Oprah from falling into obscurity!
Oprah had no choice but to somehow get her name associated with this book, with Sarah rising and Oprah falling, it will save her from utter irrelevance.
It will be painful to watch Oprah, but Sarah will make up for that.
