Michael Patrick Leahy, the Tea Party activist who has been going after NY-23 GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava with hammer and tongs, produces this photo of the candidate stumping today outside of one of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman’s offices. Little-known fact: There are lots of campaign workers, and signs, in such offices, ready to be deployed.

Scozza makes Debbie Stabenow look suave and Janet Napolitano look cute! However the conservative women know where their inner/outer beauty comes from!

I have no idea what you’re complaining about Bob. This woman is an abortionist big government liberal RINO and this website is 100% opposed to her candidacy as a Republican. She needs to bow out. Any Republicans who support her just don’t get what the Tea Party Rebellion is all about. But they will. Or maybe they won’t. But their day is over either way.
I’m with Jim. She’s an Arlen Spector/Jim Jeffries waiting to happen. She’ll change parties before the year is out.

That was my take, too! Apparently, Hoffman has asked for debates that Dede declined! So, the sign makes perfect sense in context. It would have been clearer if it said:
Hoffman: Dede, Stop Lying!

So let me get this straight. You are decrying posters on this thread who are calling this liberal candidate ugly (which she is, on many, many levels) - yet you engage in scatalogical references to fellow consevatives and call one out for a fight. Not exactly the best way, IMO, to set an example for the rest of FR.
With her overall demeanor Scozzabean would be a perfect fit into the ‘Rat party. She ain’t got what it takes to be a conservative candidate. The reason we have such a mess in DC is because too many dim watt reps like her sent to the House. More Michele Bachmans please...many more!
Ridicule is a very powerful weapon, one the left uses often. In this case, this pro abortion, pro tax, liberal RINO deserves every ounce of ridicule she receives. Ridicule marginalizes your opponent. Satirical references expose the ugliness on the inside. (reference: Helen Thomas threads)

I had written a much longer response then realized it was long winded and probably wouldn’t hit home anyway, so this is what I’ll say in a nutshell.
On an earlier Scozza thread one person wrote in relation to her candidacy “conservativism has to have minimum standards”. I nodded my head and thought that in one sentence this one anonymous poster summed up what should be the entire debate about supporting her on the GOP ticket.
So I ask you, conservatism needs to have minimum standards, shouldn’t Free Republic have standards as well?
I have a feeling she’ll switch parties soon. Win or Lose.
