Seattle (AP) -- A man accused of advising straight immigrants to claim homosexuality and potential persecution in their home countries when they applied for asylum has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Steven Mahoney touted himself as an expert in immigration affairs and ran Mahoney and Associates in Kent, which advised immigrants on how to stay in the U.S.

The part of this story that we should be up in arms about, is the preferential treatment to homosexuals by immigration.

I wonder how immigration officials are expected to verify an applicant’s homosexuality.
This is impossible.
We’re told that sexuality is transitory and changeable.
So, these wonderful immigrants may have been straight in their home countries, gay while immigrating, and (VOILA!) straight again when naturalized!
