When: October 25, 2009 3:00 PM
Where: Geauga County Fairgrounds Grandstand 14373 N. Cheshire St. Burton, OH 44021
EVENT: WAKE UP OHIO!
DATE: October 25th, 2009
TIME: 3pm - 5pm
WHERE: Geauga County Fairgrounds Grandstand, 14373 N. Cheshire Street, Burton, OH 44021
SPEAKERS: RECENTLY ANNOUNCED: Joe The Plumber.
DOC Thompson from WRVA DOC fills in for Glenn Beck about every 2 months, and he was one of the featured speakers in Washington, DC on 9/12!
Pastor James Manning, from Harlem, he has been really speaking out about the corruption in Washington (if you are not familiar with Pastor Manning, this is a MUST SEE!) - http://www.youtube.co...
Tim Cox from www.goooh.com Tim is coming up from TEXAS to share a plan that he has developed, a plan whereby WE THE PEOPLE can oust all 435 House of Reps!
Matt Patrick from 640WHLO out of Akron/Canton will be the MC... Matt is really behind the Tea Party movement, he MC'd the only Ohio stop for the 'Tea Party Express' in Canton on 9/9 and there were 5000 people there, did an excellent job!
There may be another speaker or two, we'll let you know as we know.... Some of you may have heard that we were hoping to have Bob Basso, Bob has motivated literally millions to get involved - (the man who portrays himself as Thomas Paine on YouTube - http://www.youtube.co... Bob is NOT coming to this event--he was just too booked to fit us in (60 appearances in 69 days), but he did promise us that he would come to our next event!
BRING: The Grandstand will hold about 2500 people and they will be adding to that some bleachers that will hold another 1000, approximately. There's also room in the box seat section for probably 200 to 300 chairs. (Maybe quite a bit more.) So, if you have a lawn-chair, bring it incase the Grandstand is full. 3/4 of the Grandstands are covered...but let's pray for no rain. We have no idea how many people will be coming, we are inviting everyone from Buffalo to Columbus to Pittsburgh. Bring sweaters and jackets if it is cool, let's hope it isn't snowing!!! There will be no water, as the pipes are drained for winter....so if you are going to want water, you need to bring it with you. We are renting a couple of Porti-Potties...
PARKING: There will be plenty of parking, and it is FREE! And there is no charge for the event, we want EVERYONE to come! We will be passing around a donation basket, for those of you who would like to help us with the expenses of renting the Fairgrounds and flying in the speakers...and other expenses that come with putting on a program like this.
T-SHIRTS: We will have T-Shirts and Sweat Shirts for sale! They are a great way to tell the world what you think, without saying a word!
DON'T BRING: It probably doesn't even need to be said, but just for the record, DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL OF ANY KIND to the event. We assured the FAIR Manager there would be NO ALCOHOL.
Bill Wills and WTAM along with Matt Patrick and 640WHLO are promoting the "WAKE UP OHIO!" event for us, and we hope to get newspaper coverage as well. Please, all of you, forward this email on to as many as you can, and bring everyone you can!
***All promotion booths/tables and solicitation must have permission BEFORE the event.
We look forward to seeing you all there, and all your friends, too!

God Bless Joe the Plumber.
A man who was investigated more in 24 hrs by MSM/SCM than Baraq was in 24 months.
Yes, both he and his wife were present. (BTW: Sen. Grendell lent his American Flag leather jacket to Matt Patrick.)
I was not dressed for the cool weather and left at 4:30, Sen. Grendell may have spoken to the crowd after I left.
Not a bad guy... He is doing some legal stuff for my neighborhood....
I wish I could have been there....
I love Geauga.
IMO: His $50,000,000 goal is a little light for the battle, the libs can far exceed that number.
U bet.
We have to meet up you kmow : )
Let’s make a point of it — FOR SURE. :-)
Oh...okay.
There are five of us (at least) that could meet up in Willoughby, Mayfield or some area that might be convenient.
I AM GAME..

guys and gals?
Las Vegas Dave reiterated the sentiment that getting FReepers together socially was like “herding cats”.. recall that cute thread a few years ago?
My suggestion that after the first of the year, we look at the possibility. Part Social to get acquainted but part “political”. We are all busy.. ALL OF US.. there are more that could participate & if we put something together we can post it on the state board. Thinking perhaps something along 271...to make it travel convenient for all... not too far from 480. Those are details for future.
Thinking this would be a northern state get together.. North of Columbus & perhaps a once a year get together with all of state. Maybe NE.. Each quadrant could have their respective local gatherings.. and even the greater Columbus area have their own.
we are capable of a state FR coalition . I know personally many of those getting this.. Rus, including this in the mailing as I know how hard you have struggled to get a western NY get together (and I attended a few as I have connections in Dunkirk)
Putting this in this thread to not attract trolls (which I already have too many )
Closing comment.. we are all down/depressed with the state of affairs for the most part.. locally, regionally & of course nationally. I do better with interaction with fellow conservatives...
Plan it and we will come. ;*)
Sounds good. Keep me in the loop.
I like the idea.
If it planned far enough ahead I can take a vacation day if necessary.
