The Obama administration now claims it did not try to exclude Fox News from Thursday's round of network interviews with pay czar Ken Feinberg. A treasury department spokesperson claimed, "There was no plot to exclude Fox News, and they had the same interview that their competitors did. Much ado about absolutely nothing".
Unfortunately for the Obama administration, four other networks are fully aware of the situation and have proof that the treasury department is lying. Fox did have the same interview as their competitors, only because the other networks came to FNC's defense. They refused to do the interviews with Feinberg unless Fox was given the same opportunity.
Fox News Channel is not the only network reporting on this story. CBS Evening News with Katie Couric did a full length story on the ongoing feud, with reporter Chip Reid describing the other networks' decision to standup to the White House bullying. All the networks said thats it, youve crossed the line, Reid reported.
Baltimore Sun media critic David Zurawik, who is a frequent detractor of Fox News, was appalled by the White House's blacklisting of Fox. "What it's really about to me is the Executive Branch of the government trying to tell the press how it should behave. I mean, this democracy -- we know this -- only works with a free and unfettered press to provide information," Zurawik said.
The Constitution is a beautifully crafted two-edged sword. You defy it for your own purposes at your own peril.
Isn’t it sad that this is so stunning to us?
They don’t fear BHO. They elected him. He is Dear Leader to them. What they want is to secure the mantle of “objective” journalist. The clip says, in efect, Fox is on the right, MSNBC is on the left. Where do you suppose that places CBS?
The attempt to exclude Fox News scared the hell out of the rest of them.
It would have set a precedent. No telling who might be next to earn the displeasure of whoever controls the Executive Branch, or when.
Brovo!
Its about time. But Monday it will be business as usual at the Messiah’s whitehouse.
“There was no plot to exclude Fox News, and they had the same interview that their competitors did. Much ado about absolutely nothing”.
Hey, it’s *our* job to insult the intelligence of the MSM!
In a word, yes.
They have not matured beyond their unaccountable campus liberalism. And they believe their own press releases.
The Obama administration is trying to cover up their criminal behavior—

They don’t care. They are in the office and working day and night to get their agenda passed before the next election. They fact they lied and got caught and called out for it wouldn’t change but very few votes. They are not in the mode of worrying about voters right now. They know voters have a very short memory, something on the order of six weeks to two months. Right now they’ve got work to do and they will tell any lie, throw any supporter under the bus or do anything else that’s needed to advance their agenda. So they don’t care how bad it makes them look, they just tell a lie and move on to the next item on the agenda.
Sadly, most of those who marched proudly into the voting booth and voted for America’s black president will never understand the damage their vote did to the country.
Absolutely correct.
And although the MSM networks got it right this time, our Constitutional Republic - run by leaders chosen in democratic elections has been severely undermined by a press that has chosen to fetter itself by selectively reporting information that exults socialist candidates and denigrates candidates that support the Constitution.
Mr. Zurawik is right on this one - but the actions of his press cohorts over the past 40 years have been destructive and corrosive to our country. He is wrong in stating that we are a democracy - but we have democratic elections - and these only work if the Press operates in a free an unfettered manner: not externally 'fettered', and not self-fettered by predisposed beliefs.
That was easily the best and most balanced report I have ever seen on CBS News...EVER.
LOL Not only does shit roll down hill, it can jump across the street searching for a low level Treasuery staffer.
Riotous parody of an American administration!
Obamonty Talkathon's Lying Circus' hilarious wild comic parody of an American administration . . . .

Indeed. If they keep doing pieces as honestly as that one, Obama is in BIG trouble.
“The attempt to exclude Fox News scared the hell out of the rest of them.”
I’m not seeing it that way at all. I’m seeing the “others” using this incident to reposition themselves. They (CBS, ABC, NBC and CNN) were and still are all in for BHO. They want to wrap themselves in that “objective” mantle that’s slipped over the years.
The clip was a clear attempt to position CBS in the center, between Fox and MSNBC.
