Glenn Beck goes all in for Doug Hoffman — and third parties

“I am no longer going to throw my vote away by giving it to the party,” he vows, confirming Gingrich’s fears of independent challengers splitting Republicans in purple districts into conservative and moderate camps next year and handing the district to the Democrat. In fact, I thought of Beck and his “In or Out” litmus test (which he touched on briefly tonight) while writing this post last week. Given his activist ambitions, it’s easy to imagine him using his show to encourage and promote a variety of third-party congressional candidates, and while they’re unlikely to win, they could bleed enough votes from Republican nominees to make life easier for The One. Beck would shrug that off by claiming that there’s zero difference between the major parties anyway and, a la his assertion that McCain would have been worse for America than Obama, that another GOP loss next year might actually be good for the country in preparing the ground for his brand of libertarian Republicanism.

This won’t split the vote ... if the GOP put up actual conservatives

we’ve tried it their way... and we continue to receive a march to the progressive left. Screw that. I’d rather be able to directly blame dems for their failed policies than have to bite it with a RINO

preparing the ground for his brand of libertarian Republicanism

Or a return to Reagan Republicanism.

Newt, Jeb Bush and the rest of the inside the beltway GOP need to wake up to what voters are telling them.

As long as there is a primary involved there is not a problem. The problem comes to a head when the GOP picks a RINO to run and didn’t give primary voters a chance to pick someone who represents their viewpoints.

Rush said it best today. This is not about “third parties”...it’s about principles over party. No longer are conservatives gonna sit down and shut up.

Just like the immigration fight and Harriet Miers, it’s a conservative crackdown.

Newt, you’re a stinkin ACORN-Whore in my eyes.

From Gallup:
40 percent of Americans describe themselves as conservatives,
36 percent as moderate,
20 percent as liberal.

So what is the endgame? What the heck is Newt's endgame?

Newt, Steele, Romney, and the rest of the RINOs want to represent the 20% that are liberal, and drag the rest of the population along into a communist existence that will ensure never-ending turmoil.

"What the heck is Newt's endgame?"

Dilution and weakening of the only nation on Earth founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ, just like Obama, Pelousey, and Co.

I with Beck on this one. The benefit of being true to principle instead of being true to a party is clarity.

I will admit that a liberal or moderate rino republican is often better than a liberal demonrat, the rino is far more frustrating to me.

I hate being used and lied to by a scumbag disguised as a republican to get my vote so they can ruin the country. With my vote, they make me a part of the damage they do.

Claiming to be a lesser evil is NOT a badge of honor and is not worth my vote.

Newt talks a good game.

Here in Maryland, we had a chance to send a conservative Republican to serve, Andy Harris.

Newt supported the RINO party guy in the contentious primaries, and we ended up with Kratovil.

But Newt talks a good game.

I really believe that you give a piece of your mind with every post you make.

Or, this might throw a scare into the indolent RINO elitists.

He is badly out of touch. The tea parties weren’t mere entertainment and he is also missing the significance of the support for Hoffman.

If anything, Scozzofava will split the Democrats because NY-23 is a race between two Democrats and a Reagan Conservative. The Democrat party isn’t even running attack ads against Scozzofava, and Scozzofava has received endorsements from the founder of Daily Kos and financial backing from ACORN. If Hoffman wins, he would likely caucus with the Republicans, who aren’t nearly as liberal as the GOP is in the Senate.
