'Good Enough' Isn't

War On Terror: Sen. John Kerry, who was so wrong about Iraq, now says our commander in Afghanistan is "reaching too far, too fast" and that a "good enough" policy should suffice. It won't.

Offering his advice on how to micromanage the war against the Taliban, Kerry said Gen. Stanley McChrystal, President Obama's hand-picked general to fight what he called a "war of necessity," is wrong in saying he needs 40,000 more troops to fight and win it.

Speaking before the Council on Foreign Relations on Monday, Kerry advocated a "good enough" policy designed not to achieve victory in al-Qaida's former home base but to merely get our troops out of there. "I believe his (McChrystal's) current plan reaches too far, too fast," he said.

Kerry also criticized McChrystal's counterinsurgency strategy, saying, "We don't have to control every hamlet and village."

Yet it was a similar surge in Iraq that brought us victory. By having enough troops to provide security to "every hamlet and village," it showed the Iraqi people we wouldn't abandon them and gave them the courage and support they needed to rise up, reconcile, cooperate and fight for their own country.

Kerry wants to see us bleed and then give up. He cares not for our troops or the people of Afghansitan.

The American death and casualty toll skyrocketed within weeks of "commander zero's" new ROE, just a coincidence.

Lurch was a coward of the worst kind in Vietnam and committed treason then, was wrong on Iraq and is wrong now.

Of course the boy CINC, who has never fired a Daisy BB gun, will look in awe to a "war hero" who pissed on his brothers in arms and gave aid and comfort to the enemy.

Where does a know-nothing political hack like Kerry get off thinking he can tell a General Officer anything about military matters? It is flat insulting. When it comes to strategy and military needs, Kerry isn't qualified to shine the General's shoes.

John Kerry, who was so wrong about Iraq,

and Vietnam!!!

What makes him a modern war strategizer, a four decades after he rode a boat in Vietnam? Did Civil War vets make policy for World War I?

It is 'rich' that the good General is putting his words; where Obama's mouth should be; but is not, of course; Obama's is full with only the emptiest and most hypocritical - and damning of words.

Support for Israel needs to 'out there' speaking 'counter' to Obama/Biden; and from someone who can speak with authentic authority, on behalf of America - and in American 'voice'.

I hope he gets many invites from Fox News to do just that. And other media as well, of course; but would not hold breath!

Am wondering if General Petraeus is considering a 'run' for the Presidency. Might be. . .
