A senior Coast Guard official removed earlier this year from his command position in Alaska is facing a long string of charges within the agency, including sodomy, indecent acts and conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman.

The U.S. Coast Guard filed 31 violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice against Capt. Herbert Hamilton.

It did not provide details of the alleged offenses, which also include fraud, adultery, indecent language and soliciting another to commit an offense.

Sodomy under the UCMJ is not strictly homosexual, but who knows what's going on here.

How sadly ironic. MY Dad got caught committing adultry in China, WWII, and they sent him to Alaska!

99% it is sex with an enlisted person in his command.

Letterman and Clinton maybe able to do it - but don’t try it at home.

Even if this guy is “Cleared” his career is toast. Being relieved of your command is the first step out the door.

I wonder if they will offer him retirement in lieu of prosecution ‘for the good of the service’?

Had a couple of bad players while I was at Nellis (TFWC)that should been busted for screwing the help. A few got busted, but not all. I'll wait and see what the investigation has to say, but I suspect at this point, it's all but over.

The Coast Guard can’t afford to have incompetents in Alaska. That’s one of the two hot spots for the Coast Guard - the other being Seventh District, off Florida. Punishment is getting sent to Eighth District - Western Rivers.
