Obama's Half Brother Recalls Their Abusive Father
November 3, 2009
China (AP) -- President Barack Obama's half brother has broken his media silence to discuss his new novel -- the semi-autobiographical story of an abusive parent patterned on their late father, the mostly absent figure Obama wrote about in his own memoir.
In his first interview, Mark Ndesandjo told The Associated Press that he wrote ''Nairobi to Shenzhen'' in part to raise awareness of domestic violence.
''My father beat my mother and my father beat me, and you don't do that,'' said Ndesandjo, whose mother, Ruth Nidesand, was Barack Obama Sr.'s third wife. ''It's something which I think affected me for a long time, and it's something that I've just recently come to terms with.''
Like his novel's main character, Ndesandjo had an American mother who is Jewish and who divorced his Kenyan father. The novel, which goes on sale Wednesday by the self-publishing company Aventine Press, is one of several books in the works by relatives of the president.
President Obama's parents separated two years after he was born in Hawaii in 1961. The senior Obama, a Kenyan exchange student, divorced the president's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, in 1964 and had at least six other children in his native Kenya.
For the past seven years, Ndesandjo has been living in the booming southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, near Hong Kong (snip).
Ndesandjo, who said he attended Obama's inauguration as a family guest, declined to discuss his earliest memories of the president or describe their relationship over the years. However, he said he plans to meet his brother in Beijing when the president makes his first visit to China on Nov. 15-18.
''My plan is to introduce my wife to him. She is his biggest fan,'' he said.

Is he another 50/50 model?
No “Nidesand” in newspaper archives either, until 2008 referencing 0bama.
OT:
Uncanny the resemblance between Mark’s half-brother and 0bama despite no blood relationship.

3:33 - his ring matches Barry’s! ;-)
Now able to identify the person on the left of Mark, it's Joseph.
Interesting timing of these revelations, yes? Give me a break!
Curious that nothing seems available on her 2nd husband, including his first name.

Mark Ndesandjo, Obama’s Half Brother, Performs Piano Concert In China

And he said Friday that he has just finished a novel called “Nairobi to Shenzhen,” but as yet has no publisher.
(snip)
Ndesandjo declined to answer questions from the AP at Friday’s concert. He wouldn’t confirm basic details about his past or discuss his relationship with Obama.

That combination accounts for the alarming signs of euro-centric cultural chauvinism and lamentable insensitivity.
Who was standing with Ruth in the wedding video?
Dora Nelly Zepeda was born in Matagorda County, Texas on 28 Feb 1979 to Dora Nelly (Delafuente) and Homero Arrendondo Zepeda. She has sister Erica born 22 Dec 1981 and brother Homero, Jr. born 1 Dec 1983.
Good find — Did you notice the 1:55 mark — three men — Mark, Joseph....but third man looks also to be related?
at 5:34 mark?...I was just going to mention that to you. Could that be the elusive father Ndesandjo?
Excellent insurance for Ruth IMO.
SCOTUS in the Elg case ruled that the parent(s) cannot expatriate an NBC child and deprive the child of its NBC status by taking the child out of the country and obtaining citizenship for the child in another country. Only the NBC child himself or herself can affirmatively renounce US citizenship after obtaining age of majority.
It is not known whether (there is no confirmed evidence that) Obama ever renounced US citizenship to obtain either an Indonesian or Kenyan passport or if he was ever registered as a Kenyan citizen under the BNA of 1948.
It is widely claimed as a certainty in birther posts (and I consider myself an open-minded, truth-seeking constitutionalist which makes me a type of birther) that Obama “must” have had a foreign i.e. non-US passport to have traveled to Pakistan and Kenya in the early 1980’s and that Obama never had a US passport until very recently.
How do you "prove the negative" that Obama never had a US passport until recently and that he did not have one in the early 1980’s or even as a child? His mom worked in the US embassy in Indonesia where it would have been very easy to get one for him...if she had a US birth certificate for BHO II.
I see legal smoke and mirrors as far as the eye can see!
Two years later, Barack Snr was accepted at Harvard and left Ann and their little boy behind for the east coast.
Obama Snr left Hawaii on the 22nd June, 1962.

Supporting: Sharon's Day School
Partnership with: International Child Resource Institute
Location: Eastleigh Slums in Nairobi, Kenya
Dates: Ongoing Involvement and Sponsorship Initiated December 2008
3Sixty Integrated has partnered with the International Child Resource Institute in Nairobi, Kenya to support and help Sharon's Day School, a pre-primary school located in one of Kenya's most prominent slum areas. Founded to provide an educational foundation to impoverished children, Sharon's Day School operates on very limited budgets which often times required teachers to work without pay. 3Sixty Integrated has eliminated this problem by funding the salaries of the teaching staff at Sharon's Day School. In addition, our employees coordinate semi-annual donations of school supplies for the children (ages 3-6).

Partnership with: Time for Christ Mexico Ministries
Location: State of San Luis Potosi
Dates: December 21 - 30, 2008
3Sixty Integrated partnered with Time for Christ Mexico Ministries by sponsoring two volunteers to participate in the December mobile hospital tour. The mobile hospital tour addressed the needs of underpriviledged individuals living in remote mountain villages in the state of San Luis Potosi. These efforts provided complete medical care including but not limited to medical consultations, x-rays, dental exams, free medications and on-site surgeries (pre-op, post-op and recovery). The mobile hospitals were serviced by doctors, nurses and volunteers from across the U.S. and approximately 1,000 individuals benefited from these efforts.
