For the people who think that he didn’t have much time to react and prepare for this before speaking, CNN just reported that the president was informed about the Ft. Hood incident “shortly after the shooting began.”
According to reports, the shooting began at 1:30 pm. I also found FR postings at 2:22 pm.
Obama’s speech was televised at 5 pm! I’m assuming it was live?

I was listening to the radio on the way home and I’m thinking they must have cued the wrong video or something. Then I realized that the “CIC” is as useless as I always thought he was. Absolutely disgraceful performance.

My Brother-in-law an Army psycologist was there and knew this muslim scumbag. I called sis immediately and, we still have not heard from him. From what my sister said, they believe he was not shot but rather assisting the wounded. I still have not heard anything.

You got it exactly right. I seriously thought Fox had the wrong conference on. I shut the tv off because I could not take Dear Leader for more than a few seconds. I sensed ZERO compassion, caring, sensitivity, concern, ANYTHING. Is he trying to show us how much he hates/scorns the military?? Is he trying to get booted after one term if not sooner???

Yup. I am just old enough to remember the hostage situation 30 yrs ago, and I don't remember even Carter acting anything like hate-the-military-and-the-U.S. Hussein was acting this afternoon.
