Caterpillar Controversy Discloses Deep Evolutionary Disagreement
ICR News ^ | November 5, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Posted on 11/05/2009 6:15:26 PM PST by GodGunsGuts

In August 2009, retired University of Liverpool marine biologist Donald Williamson officially challenged the standard Darwinian interpretation of caterpillar origins. His paper was fast-tracked to publication by a “high-placed advocate,”[1] but shortly afterward his ideas were rebutted in the very same journal. While this back-and-forth exchange has sparked intense criticism over the submission and review processes that were used, the situation also reveals core problems with broad-scale evolution...

I am thinking it is H1N1, the common cold, or Andromeda...

My wife's ex got H1N1. They put him in a coma. Of course we are wishing him well.

Your buddies want to debate the truth, while real scientists want to find the truth.

That's just so sanctimonious as well as being an over-generalization. Having been surrounded by scientists for the past 14 years (University of Chicago), I can say that most of them are like everyone else: within the purview of their discipline, they try to use evidence they collect to demonstrate in a convincing manner what they believe to be true or to detract from a rival's presentation in the same matter. Outside of the very small niche of their professional interest, they also mostly do what most people do. They have their beliefs that they're comfortable with and don't tend to do more than accept whatever appears to confirm them and ignore whatever doesn't.

"Intelligent Conservatives understand science"

Yes they do, and that is why each and every one of them is a Young Earth Creationist.

There are few functional productive scientists that are not YEC. Yes, I know, they are surrounded by ignorant, lying, squirming pretenders, writhing in the pain of life without Christ, and belching foolish propaganda, but the real work is produced by solid real believing Christians. (not the fake professing but dismissing unbelievers like yourself)

Now for the icing on the cake, if you cannot answer for the beginning of life, you cannot speak to life at all; you're a charletan, and a foolish prattling child, deserving of a scolding and dismissal.

"Your buddies want to debate the truth, while real scientists want to find the truth."

You've got it backwards.

GGG posts threads so that we can discuss the truth, but the atheist-naturalists want to find an alternate 'truth' that will leave them comfortable in their chosen Godless ignorance, so the come to these threads to scream and shout, and throw tantrums to disrupt the discussion.

You're fooling no one.

>>Yes they do, and that is why each and every one of them is a Young Earth Creationist.<<

Only the stupid ones.

You once again arrogantly think you get to decide who is and isn’t a Christian. And as usual and always, it is you who is found wanting.

>>Now for the icing on the cake, if you cannot answer for the beginning of life, you cannot speak to life at all; you’re a charletan, and a foolish prattling child, deserving of a scolding and dismissal. <<

No, it means you don’t understand the simplest aspects of science and attempt to apply your 3rd grade learning to things that people who actually have college degrees (that is > 5th grade for you and your peers) have studied and understand.

If science does not ASSUME an orderly Universe, then science cannot make predictions. If science cannot make predictions, then science cannot learn anything. It never ceases to amaze me that your average Temple of Darwin fanatic does not know this!

BTW, do you also deny that science also must ASSUME that man is able to comprehend nature?

==a learning that involves technological advances and looking into theories based on real life observations - while threatening or destroying (ala Copernicus and Galileo) religious beliefs.

The only thing Galileo destroyed was the Aristotelian scientific establishment of his day. It was they who wanted Galileo silenced, just like the evos want Creation and ID scientists silenced today. Indeed, the church was actually quite open to Galileo’s ideas.

==Would you really like to return to Inquisition days?

The Temple of Darwin is the modern day embodiment of the Inquisition. They utilize the communist ACLU and the courts to prevent students from learning about the origins debate, prevent Creation and ID science papers from being published in the mainstream science journals, and attempt to destroy the careers of any scientist who dares to champion Creation/ID, or who otherwise challenges darwood’s evo-religious creation myth.

Those of us that understand and use science and technology laugh at you; especially you, since you have zero understanding yet wish to mix in and pretend.

You’re an evo-groupie. (yes, just like the rock groupies that can’t play a kazoo but have to hang around with musicians)

>>GGG posts threads so that we can discuss the truth,<<

LOL!! Yes, the icr Batboy continuum is certainly “the truth.”

Your arrogance can only be understood by people who understand just how afraid you are to be exposed as a fake “Christian” who is too confused by real science to make any arguments other than ad hominem.

Bluster in place of knowledge is always funny to those of us who know the difference.

A YECer must assume that God created a disorderly universe that is inhabited by men formed with a faulty design.

Yes — people like me who understand musical theory (I do — I play several musical instruments and minored in music in college) always laugh at people like you who don’t even understand the basics.

I know stuff — you don’t. Live with it.

Catholics don’t. And please be specific: which schools, by name and faith teach YEC? Include phone numbers so we can check.

True enough, Scientists are people too. They argue and they have beliefs with which they are comfortable. However, it should be clear from what I quoted and other statements GGG has made that he represents people who want to determine the truth by debate. With science it’s a bit more formal, and what’s observed in reality is the ultimate test of what’s true.

You are grasping at straws.

I have smacked you down on every “point” you think you have made and are now just hoping to tag out.

Thanks for giving me a great night of laughs. Watching a donkey try to fly with Halloween wings purchased from WalMart can be nothing other than funny.

Like I said, throw down baldy! You seem to be totally ignorant of the fact that darwood's evo-religious creation myth is being falsified on all sides. You seem to be totally ignorant of the fact that your high priests masquerading as scientists have been so thoroughly and utterly humiliated in debate by Creation and ID scientists, that the Temple of Darwin was forced to send out an all points bulletin warning them to avoid debates in public or in print at all costs!
