shouted "Allahu Akbar", or "God is greatest"

Idiots in the MSM. Allah is not God. The phrase means Allah is greater ... a direct challenge from mohammed to all as he tried to decimate the Jews in his region.

No - just as the poor Soldiers gunned down outside of the recruitng station, they are viewed as crime victims.

If, however, Hell freezes over combined with a total eclipse of the moon and the Army calls this a Terrorist attack, then the possibility of a PH rises to a fraction of a % above nil.

See http://www.purpleheart.org/Membership/default.aspx
a source of all things related to the Purple Heart.

But, thanks for asking....

Why go to Iraq to get murdered by Islamic terrorist when you can just join the Army and get yourself shot by a Muslim terrorist disguised as an Army officer. We now have more casualties among our servicemen stationed at an Army Post inflicted by an Army officer than in the entire war-zone in Iraq over the last three months

Our Armed Services are filled with the same kind of politically correct leadership as our government in general.

What will be the effect on enlistments in our volunteer armed services?

Two things jump out of this article. When his visit to the 7 Eleven is described there is NO mention that he was dressed in traditional Muslim garb. Also, am I remembering correctly, but didn't the cousin say the family was NOT aware that he was going to deploy? Now that's the excuse for his actions.

We will go the way of Britain because of this kind of PC weakness. 13 people are dead now because of it. The guy had no business wearing the uniform.

Federal law enforcement officials told Associated Press that Hasan had come to their attention at least six months ago because of his web postings, which discussed suicide bombings and other threats. One of the web posts that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades. "To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. It's more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause," said the post. "Scholars have paralled [sic] this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers."

What's phenominal is that the FBI didn't track this statement back to Hasan and that he wasn't arrested and court martialed.

Or was it considered too politically sensitive to act upon? The guy is a US soldier. He doesn't get the same freedom of speech rights as a civilian does!

Amen. Hasan should have been drummed out of the service uncerimoniously and without honor long before this ever happened.

“Pre-Deployment Stress Disorder” will be the new media created term of the day.

It was Jihad within the ranks, plain and simple, like the case of Sgt. Asan Akbar in 2003.

And of course he was harassed. Making the kind of statements he did against the war and for the enemy in the presence of other soldiers who were either going to war or returning from it ensured that he would be...and I do not blame those soldiers one bit.

The blame falls on Hasan himself and the system that left him, after the reports came in, in that position. He was a treacherous enemy within the ranks and he ultimately went Jihad.

And, again, that’s what it was, Jihad.

This Hasan has been a live one for a long time, even suggestiong that more Muslims should attack and kill us after the Arkansas recruiter was killed.

He should not have been working with any soldiers returning from the war zone or deplying to it. In fact, he should have been discharged from the military altogether IMHO.

Hopefully now he will get the same sentence that Akbar got...and hopefully, unlike Akbar, it will be carried out swiftly.

Maybe they can have a double execution, executed by firing squad with pig-blood soaked bullets, having them fall into a trench of pig entrails before being buried there. It’s what he deserves in his own mind...and it’s time we started playing with their minds, IMHO, just like that. It may save American life if they realize in their own minds that their Jihad will be foiled and they will not got to Heaven for their 72.
