Bringing Down Bachmann
Daily Beast ^ | Nov 6, 2009 | Benjamin Sarlin

Posted on 11/07/2009 1:24:34 PM PST by yongin

The far right’s star House member just hit the headlines with a rowdy health-care rally on Capitol Hill. Benjamin Sarlin reports on the Democrats lining up in Minnesota to send Michele Bachmann into early retirement.

Michele Bachmann took her paranoid campaign against the White House to new heights on Thursday, leading a mass protest inside the Capitol itself that led to multiple arrests. Antics like these have made her one of the breakout stars of the Republican Party in the Obama era, drawing praise from Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and even George Will. But her stunts have also made what is otherwise a relatively safe Republican seat potentially vulnerable to Democratic takeover.

Her bid for reelection to a third term is still a year away. But two credible challengers have already emerged to vie for the Democratic nomination: physician Maureen Reed and State Senator Tarryl Clark. Both are making Bachmann's extremist rhetoric the centerpieces of their campaigns.

So far, Michelle is the best candidate that I see out there representing me, and I don’t live in her area. At this time I would love to see her run for potus.

To Benjamin Sarlin:

So it’s paranoia to not want a Communist President and Congress to force their totalitarianism down our throats? That’s paranoia?

You are a fool sir.

“a mass protest inside the Capitol itself that led to multiple arrests”

The behavior that brought arrest was performed, as usual, by Democrat goons.

You, sir, are a liar.

One scenario from a few years ago shows MN being on the hit list.

"If a reapportionment were performed using projections of the 2010 state populations (mid-term trend model)

- Gainers (9 states, 14 districts): Texas (4), Arizona (2), Florida (2), Georgia (1), Nevada (1), North Carolina (1), Oregon (1), South Carolina (1), Utah (1)

- Losers (12 states, 14 districts): New York (2), Ohio (2), California (1), Illinois (1), Iowa (1), Louisiana (1), Massachusetts (1), Michigan (1), Minnesota (1), Missouri (1), New Jersey (1), Pennsylvania (1)

From what I read, the arrests were of Code Pink pinkos that were inside the capital. Anybody know different? Just gotta love the way the left twists the news.

The secretary of state in Minnesota, Mark Ritchey, has been bought and paid for by ACORN. As in dead people, Mickey Mouse, and Lucy van Pelt voting multiple times for the Frankenfraud.

How news is made, an insight:

I was in the front row at the rally Thursday. Just after I shook hands and spoke to Michele, I commented that if the GOP had any sense they would run Palin/Bachmann in 2012. A CNN reporter standing next to me suddenly perked up and ran after her saying “We have heard from sources that your being considered as a potential VP candidate with Sarah Palin, any comment?” So now we can see the solid sourcing used at CNN.
If they can use a guy named Big Noodle as a source, they WILL use anyone. :)

Anyone have documentation of any arrests? Freepmail me, please. I'm just very curious. Unless there were some DUmmies in the audience who acted up, I sincerely doubt that the "mostly over age 50" crowd got so rowdy that they got arrested.

I don't know if the person who made this photo was for or against the two Conservative ladies.

If they take her Congressional seat we can run her for Vice President on the Palin ticket.

communists have no shame. The arrest were not made on protesters of the health care bill, they were made on proponents of the bill who were in Pelosi's office.

It's obvious she scares the bejeezers out of them and that's a good thing. They should be scared. Especially if they pass the "health" care madness they've been working on.

From what I've heard from various call in programs, a LOT of people showed up to protest, not that the state run media would report it. Instead, they report the arrests. From what I heard, some pro-lifers were arrested at Pelousy's office...surely they're not blaming Bachmann for that?
