Had CNN spliced footage of a sparsely-attended Capitol Hill rally to discredit the reports of large numbers of attendees to the 9/12 rally in September, conservatives would have rightly howled about media bias. What will conservatives say about Fox News splicing footage of the 9/12 rally into coverage of Michele Bachmanns otherwise well-attended rally last week? Jon Stewart gives Fox News a well-deserved poke in the eye for fudging the footage, as well as exposing rather clearly its source:
I agree.
Fox has to show it will not tolerate this kind of distortion of the truth.
Hannity should have resigned.
Over the past month, Hannity has taken two major hits:
1. Michael Moore ate his lunch during their "debate".
2. This creative editing episode.
He's now going to be under serious scrutiny...his enemies are smelling blood.
I think he`s on an ego trip and thought he could get away with it.
I agree he should be "beaten" but I don't think he should commit suicide...
Seriously hilarious thread!
The part that I don't understand, truly don't understand - is that there is so MUCH material on President Zero that Hannity can comment on, he doesn't need to pull this crap. Pres. Zero damns himself, the Democratic party are their own worst enemy - all Shawn has to do is point out the obvious, there is no need to fabricate your facts - especially when the enemy is looking over your reports for distortion.
I can imagine no greater harm that the Conservatives can take, than to have a vocal proponent of the Republican party falsify the facts. Time for Hannity to gather his marbles and head on home.
Get off your high horse. He who has never sinned cast the first stone. ‘Mightier than thow’ attitudes is one of the many things holding back Conservative leadership. If any of you are purer than the air driven white snow, stop what your doing and take the reigns of the country since you are blameless, perfect and impervious to media slander.
Yeah....;I thought so.
They screwed up, they should fix it, and we should move on.
Regards.
They could always fall back on the standard dem answer: “It was an editing mistake.”
It sure is.
One of these days I'm gonna slip...
I find I cannot sit through it either. Now Greta I believe is much better, and she has a brain!
” I thought I made a mistake one time but found out later I was wrong”
Agreed. This is really disappointing.
A producer screwed up. They apologized last night.
SPlicing is an inaccurate word to use here.
They pulled the wrong file footage, so they SHOWED 9/12 while they talked about last Thursday’s rally.
When it was discovered, they apologized.
There was no active intent to “splice in” inaccurate footage.
To explain further, this is not surprising.
Go research the recent rock slide on Interstate 40 in Tennessee. You’ll see footage of a rock slide, but if you look you’ll see that it is “file footage” from a previous rock slide.
File footage is used all the time. In this case, they simply didn’t label it correctly.
That is much worse, because it was a deliberate attempt to falsify the record.
Fox simply showed the wrong file footage during their discussion of the event. It happens a lot, and they apologized for it.
Grow up. Get a spine. Hannity is Opinion, not "news." Grow a brain while you're at it.
I am endlessly amazed at what a cannibalizing pack of frightened lemmings much of the GOP turns out to be. Whether Hannity or Palin or whomever, it seems a large chunk of the GOP sheep-herd is just waiting for a chance to kill and eat their own.
I'm beginning to think that without a Third Party option, this country hasn't got a chance, because the GOP is a bunch of lily-livered, politically correct Chicken Littles who insist on "fighting fair" with a criminal cabal that will burn your house while you sleep as a measure of gratitude for your wimpishness.
Disgusting. So all 7 people who watch Jon Stupid's comedy routine might have an even worse opinion of Sean Hannity. They can join the hundreds of "conservatives" on FreeRepublic who regularly rip Hannity anyway.
Who effing cares? What a pack of losers.

Viacom had a reason to boost Hillary’s prestige. They paid $8million in advance for her autobiography (which at that point, had not gone to press).
