FBI says Hasan wasn't involved in terrorist activities (nothing to see, now, just move along)
Houston Chronicle ^ | 11/12/2009 | GUILLEROM CONTRERAS

Posted on 11/12/2009 1:15:16 PM PST by mojito

The FBI said today that it appears Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan acted alone in the Fort Hood shootings, and was not involved in terrorist activities when a joint terrorism task force crossed paths with him last year.

“At this point, there is no information to indicate Major Nidal Malik Hasan had any co-conspirators or was part of a broader terrorist plot,” the FBI said in a statement. “The investigation to date has not identified a motive, and a number of possibilities remain under consideration. We are working with the military to obtain, review and analyze all information relating to Major Hasan in order to allow for a better understanding of the facts and circumstances that led to the Fort Hood shooting. Understandably, there is a large volume of information in various forms, and it will take us some time to complete this work.”

The FBI also said the investigation includes forensic examinations of Hasan's computers and any of his Internet activity in hopes of gaining insight into his motivation....

...agents and analysts reviewed unspecified communications between Hasan and the unidentified subject of the investigation, and determined that the content of those communications was consistent with research being conducted by Maj. Hasan in his position as a psychiatrist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

“Because the content of the communications was explainable by his research and nothing else derogatory was found, the JTTF concluded that Major Hasan was not involved in terrorist activities or terrorist planning,” the statement said. “Other communications that the FBI was aware of were similar to the ones reviewed by the JTTF.”

The FBI declined today to provide further information about the target of the investigation, or to specify whether that probe remained ongoing.

I guess Obama was right. There’s no sense in us rushing to jump to our conclusions. The FBI needs to jump to theirs first.

This is like saying a corner grocery store is not doing business because the owners did not get an MBA from a business school.

"...there was a conclusion made by the investigator and the supervisor that Major Hasan was not involved in terrorist activities or planning, the FBI said."

Muslim terror's closest ally and best friend.

Who is more dangerous?

Of course not.

If this whitehouse concedes that this was a terrorist act, they would also concede that Dick Cheney was right when he stated that the U.S. is less safe today from terrorist attack than we were during the Bush administration.

Makes sense to me.

Neil Cavuto reported on his show today that the White House has asked for all documents in possession of all the various agencies, to be turned over to them. Can anyone verify that I heard this right.

That is Big! The coverup got Nixon. . .

motive = (a) to kill as many USA highly trained military personnel so they can’t go to the war zone and harry and harass the Islamist fanatics, (b) to make it impossible for folks to be at ease in a fortified USA military base on USA soil so they lives with a high degree of unease and anxiety (i.e. terror), (c) to prove to other Muslims that you can pull off such a stunt with the full support of the FBI, President, Army Chief of Staff and all USA media (except Fox news - which really is not a new organization anyway).

Dude, don;t go that far! How about the DHS report on Right Wing Extremists this past April? ANYONE with a Gadsen Flag, a Ron Paul bumper sticker, a Bible on hand, or carrying a copy of the Constitution was INSTANTLY branded a right-wing extremist!!! How about the LAME excuse that the FBI had “First-Amendment concerns” about Maj. Hasan, therefore could not/would not “engage” into an investigation because his communications with AL QAEDA!!! were “consistent with his research”???? BULLLCRAPPP!!!! Like you state, if I right now, were to research the terms “white AND supremacy AND fertilizer”, I would have the ATF / SWAT knocking my door down in 48 hours!!!

If you or any Christian right now, hands out a Bible to a co-worker and proselytized, you would be out of the job and the FBI and ACLU would be after your a$$ in a minute!

I worked at a Watch Center during the elections, and if ANYONE even said ANYTHING close to “Obama and wish and death/harm/guns” in the same paragraph, and totally out of context-they had the USSS visiting within 24 hrs to harass them!!!! This is total B.S.!

The FBI has blood on their hands and do not even have the honor to fire the agent in charge of this “investigation”! Director Mueller should resign YESTERDAY!!!

If Fort Hood had been carried out by a WASP named James Smith, it would take the media .005 seconds to brand him as a RWE, and furthermore, had they discovered that he had (GASP!!!) a Bible in his apartment, his radio tuned to a Glenn Beck show, or something of the like, the Lamestream media would be calling for Glenn’s head!!!

The al-Awlaki arrest also led to a later arrest of eight foreigners accused of smuggling guns to Somalia for al-Qaeda including a Dane, a Briton, a German, a Somali, three Australians, and a European of undetermined nationality who may be Austrian. One media report indicates the group was under surveillance by Western intelligence and the arrests disrupted an otherwise productive intelligence operation; other sources dispute this. The Dane is known as Abu Zakaria, whose given name is Kenneth Sorensen. The central figure was reportedly a Somali named al-Ansar. This group of eight included the Australian Ayub brothers, sons of JI leader Abdul Rahim Ayub, who fled Australia after the Bali bombings. Seven of the eight confessed according to the official Yemeni media. However six of eight were subsequently released without charges.-------“Terror Arrests in Yemen: From The American to Al-Sakhi to The Australians Who Go Free” Filed under: Al-Qaeda, Judicial, Somalia, Yemen, prisons — by Jane Novak at 8:10 am on Thursday, December 14, 2006 http://armiesofliberation.com/archives/2006/12/14/terror-arrests-in-yemen-from-the-american-to-al-sakhi-to-the-australians-who-go-free/

Emerson believes Aulaqi, as a close spiritual adviser to the [9/11] hijackers, may have helped them prepare for martyrdom before they crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon two years ago. ...Aulaqi's London sermon was part of a two-day seminar organized by an Islamic charity in Britain called JIMAS. It ran from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1. ......
''Don't think that the ones that die in the sake of Allah are dead. They are alive and Allah is providing for them,'' Aulaqi said, referring to Muslim martyrs. ''So the shaheed does not die.'' When it comes to salvation, ''you could say that they are head and shoulders above everyone else,'' he said, noting the carnal and material rewards bestowed upon marytrs in Paradise. He also claimed marytrs ''will not suffer the pain of death, and will not have to go through the horror and terror of the day of judgment.'' ''So this should make everyone of you the more eager to be a shaheed,'' Aulaqi concluded, ''when you see the great edge that is given to the shaheeds.'' -------- "D.C. mosque tied to 9-11 extols martyrdom virtues ;" by Paul Sperry, WorldNetDaily.com, Thursday, September 11, 2003...

Maddening. Apparently one cannot be a lone terrorist. Must have absolute proof of conspiracy, etc. By bringing 13 counts of murder against Hasan, the 0bama admin. is ensuring he can’t be called a Muslim terrorist, which of course he is.

FBI denied existence of Mafia until 1957 Appalachin raid.

FBI did the "investigation" for the Warren Commission.

FBI badgered Garrison's witnesses and quashed his subpoenas.

FBI suppressed Jayna Davis' evidence of Iraqi as McVeigh accessory; crapped on Carol Howe the confidential informant; covered for Andreas Carl Strassmeier.

Carlos Ghigliotti on verge of FLIR analysis completion showing 200 shots into the burning compound--found dead "of natural causes".

FBI 911: O'Neill; Colleen Rowley.

FBI sensitivity training vis-a-vis Muslims; its Muslim agents as sleepers.

FBI toeing the Napolitano-Hussein line--there is no such thing as Islamoterrorism.

Hasan was just sending his money to Pakistan for unremarkable purpose.

Attended the radical imam's mosque where the 911 hijackers had gone before--out of mere coincidence.

Didn't harangue his patients and fellow officers with months of his incessant fanatic jihadi bullcrap.

The building is on fire but Obama says that's not smoke you're smelling.
