I'm European and I don't take any delight in Obama’s stupid and dangerous decision. But I take the articles point in general.

Like many New Yorkers and members of the families of the nearly 3,000 innocent Americans murdered on that horrific Tuesday morning eight years ago, I'm outraged and insulted by President Obama's decision to transfer Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the admitted mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, to New York City for trial in civilian federal court.

The Democrats for years tend to treat terrorists as criminals to be tracked down and brought to justice, as Bill Clinton would say shaking his fist with a tear in his eye. Obama is just carrying out that principle, because, thanks to Bush, we have the alleged criminals in hand. Such moves are merely a step toward One World Government.

Of course, it is insane, lacks common sense, and reflects a warped and twisted view of the world. Look to start paying taxes to the United Nations and reparations. That is the "change" most people of this country voted for.

The Pakistani police that captured him most likely did not conform to American standards of reasonable cause, protection of rights, treatment guidelines, etc. The only realistic explanation for him to be tried after the fact under US laws is to make a mockery of former and present intelligence employees and procedures. A kangaroo court running on high octane BDS.

If these guys end up in front of the wrong judge and a bunch of NYC libs are picked for the jury, I fear that all bets will be off and absolutely anything could happen with this absurd and dangerous mess that Hussein has created.

With his repeated confessions and boasting I couldn't see a scenario where he walks. The goal here seems to be a show trial. Accusations against the evil Americans from someone with nothing to lose and every reason to lie being reported as fact worldwide. This is another step in the clear cut path of anti-Americanistic distractions put on by those in power. Everything obama touches turns to crap, this will give at least a few months of distraction from the economy, his suicidal Afghanistan non-policy, complete government takeover attempts of every major industry, etc. I can't figure out why this vermin is still breathing.

Demonrats find Muslim terrorists useful, because not only do they hate America but are willing to kill and be killed for that hatred. Serves the Libtards purposes to a “T”. They hate America too, but are much more yellow (they call it “peace-loving”). That reminds me - they’re also hypocrites.

The case can be made that this is a shrewd legal and political strategy to insure that these guys walk while still being able to claim they brought them to trial.

The Gov’t will be unable to put on a major prosecution in open court and risk exposing the ways and means of its intelligence apparatus. Most of its most damaging evidence will never see the light of day. Perhaps more importantly, the defense is sure to turn this into a trial about water boarding and other interrogation techniques.

I LIKE the idea of trying these scumbags in New York. I lost a good friend on Flight 93 and I will try to attend part of these trials, I’m sure a lot of family members of victims will do likewise.

I think you are right.

Your comment reminds me of the Kissinger quote regarding the military: “They are stupid animals useful only in implementing foreign policy.”

I’m sure the Left views Al Qaeda about the same way: they are handy tools to be utilized for embarassing America and, above all, the Bush administration.

If they swear not to ever do that again, then just let em go.

I can. He wasn't provided an attorney during questioning. He wasn't read his Miranda rights when he was captured. Much of the info obtained from him was done under "harsh" interrogation techniques. Any decent defense attorney will have a field day with motions to dismiss on this one. Not saying the Judge will dismiss the case, but there are certainly plenty of grounds to do so in criminal court. Obamalamadingdong and AG Holder are making it all possible.

I can't figure out why this vermin is still breathing.

There's always "hope" that he'll fall out of the airplane when they fly him from Cuba to NY.....

It's also possible that a judge could dismiss all criminal proceedings on the grounds of violation of right to speedy trial, based on the delay between capture and bringing the case to trial. One should not underestimate the ability of the judiciary to find reasons to turn bad guys loose.

Obama and Eric Holder are actively and openly working to destroy America from within. The dismissal of charges against the New Black Panthers for intimidating voters in Philadelphia. Reopening investigations of Bush officials. And now the latest outrage of according privileges to terrorists who are not even eligible for protection under the Geneva Convention.

This administration is all about pomp and rhetoric to maintain it’s semblance of standing. Full blown US bashing, innuendo, blame Bush, all that is virtually guaranteed. I don’t see him walking. That could be ‘the straw’ so to speak.

Yeah, just imagine a case where the cops didn’t read the perp his Miranda rights, then took him to the station and waterboarded him. Talk about a defense attorney’s dream case.

I know the muslims in NY will never vote to convict. Never.
You can bet their lawyers will get muslims on the jury.

The AG has set many terrorists free. This is just the next bunch. His intent is to expose torture, embarrass Bush and Cheny, and set the terrorists free by blaming Bush.

Holder is a scumbag, hell bent on destroying the USA.

I’m sure you are sincere but the perps are quite sincere also: they have admitted their guilt and said it was the right thing to do and doubtless would do it again.
