Iran has completely rejected a UN-brokered nuclear deal, but US President Barack Obama has postponed the official announcement on Teheran's refusal due to internal political reasons, Israel Radio quoted a senior western official as saying Saturday.
The deal would see most of the Islamic Republic's uranium shipped to Russia and France for further processing.
The official reportedly told journalists in Paris that Iran has also refused to resume nuclear talks with the six world powers.

There you have it. What does the rock star president do now? I think he will vote “present”, the political equivalent of punting.

Obama has accepted a nuclear Iran... and the Iranians know it. The only fools that don’t know are the Israeli’s and most of America.

Obama says Iran has the right to nuclear devices. On the other hand, Obama wants to get rid of the U.S.’s nuclear weapons. Anybody see a pattern here? Maybe a pattern favoring the Muslims?

I know not many will agree with me on this... but here goes:
Obama will hit Iran hard, very hard.
First, he has been dissed. As President, the military and the USA are now HIS. How dare the Iranians reject him, the ONE. (remember the ego).
Secondly, Obama has something to prove. He knows he is viewed as weak. He'll do what most insecure democrat presidents do, start a big war.
Third, He needs a distraction from the obvious failure of many of his initiatives and policies (not the unemployment numbers....).
Fourth, Iran is the ultimate boogie man. No one likes them. Not even liberal Europe. Not even other Muslim states. He has a green light.
Fifth, Israel has told him something that will force his hand. I don't know what it is, but it happened last week.
The recent action to start civil seizures of the Iranian controlled mosques and the buildings are a signal. They may be considered launch points for revenge attacks if we strike. The locations were well known for years... and the move now is telling.
To: StolarStorm
That should be “NOTE”: (note the unemployment numbers....).

But, but.....all those countries and their leaders are Obama’s new best friends...his people...He’s got people...

postpone, delay, not do anything, vote “present”, that’s the only thing this punk in the White House knows how to do.

Its over. That clears the way for Israel to take military action to pre-empt the Iranian nuclear threat.

But wait.... Obama gave them “orders”, he gave them orders.
Don’t they have to comply with orders from the all powerful exalted Commander of the Universe?
Unless Israel manages to stop it, without our help, Iran WILL have their own nukes.

Iran in other words, has made it very clear for all to see its real aim is to acquire a nuclear bomb. Its no longer just the Jews' problem. Iran's fanatical regime, bent on Armageddon, presents a danger to the peace and safety of the entire world.

The only fools that dont know are the Israelis and most of America. Israel knows better than anyone that Obama has accepted a nuclear Iran. But in the end it doesn't matter what Obama accepts -- Israel (specifically, Bibi) will never accept it. ...and they'll take care of biz if need be.

Don’t get too excited. I think Obie heard something last week alright. I think he heard that Israel is going to do what it has to in spite of Obama. The mosque seizures etc, were merely to protect himself for what could happen if Israel does what it may intend to do.
As for the US getting involved, probably not. Obozo cannot upset his leftist base, without them, he cannot win again.

Obama need to do what Bush and the NeoCons did, figure out a catchy slogan like Axis of Evil.
Did that fail? For 8 years?
To: StolarStorm
Secondly, Obama has something to prove. He knows he is viewed as weak I think your hypothesis falls apart here at #2. I don't think he sees himself (or thinks others see him) as weak. His narcissism won't allow that, nor will his handlers.
His action of bowing to the point of embarrassing the Emperor of Japan and his wife, supports this. He's so overconfident that he won't even consider asking about, or using, proper protocol.
I can't see any nation aligning with this impudent figurehead and he won't enter into a skirmish unless he has backup.

Re: 14
I don't see it.
Yes he's been 'dissed'. And yes he is a narcissistic bully.
Expect him to take it on someone else though. Not anyone with teeth who might fight back....
Maybe go after Honduras.
Maybe go create some fake bogey-man in the United States (time to trash Limbaugh again, or go after Sarah Palin ... or the 'selfish' Americans who don't want to turn their lives over the benighted overlords in Washington DC)...
I agree with your assessment of the man's character.
But I don't seem him going after Iran.
At the end of the day he is still a coward.

I don’t see Omama having the guts or desire to take action against anyone except US citizens or Fox News. I also don’t see any of our long-standing allies trusting him. Someone else will need to step up to lead the effort. New alliances are surely being formed, and I expect Dear Reader is being left out of many of the conversations.

BTW, Henry Kissinger(a paid McCain Campaign advisor), and many other republican realists endorsed Obama's campaign pledge to negotiate with Iran "at the highest level and without precondition".

Which bothers you worse?
Obama listening to Kissinger on Iran, or Obama following the Powell Doctrine on Afghanistan?
In retrospect, and considering the republican election blood baths of 2006 and 2008, do you think that Bush should have followed the Powell Doctrine before he invaded Iraq?

" Which bothers you worse? Obama listening to Kissinger on Iran, or Obama following the Powell Doctrine on Afghanistan?"
Any President listening to Kissinger or Powell bothers me. Neither gentleman is on my book of wise men of honor.
"In retrospect, and considering the republican election blood baths of 2006 and 2008, do you think that Bush should have followed the Powell Doctrine before he invaded Iraq?"
Nope. He should have surged sooner and then finished the job he started and taken care of Iran. He had 'em surrounded, and now that's been squandered by Obama. He should have also responded more muscularly to the media's slanders and untruths.
But you're not going to get anywhere with me or most on this board by extolling the virtues of Kissinger and especially that soft-headed monument to Affirmative Action, Powell.

Bad news for you and Chaney.
Bush did convene the Iraq Study Group and they wrote the exit strategy for Iraq. They also made the Gitmo policy changes.
Gates went from the Iraq Study Group to Sec of Defense.
Bush did abandon Scooter Libby to die on the political battlefield.

I appreciate your thoughtful analysis, but disagree. I think Obama sees himself as a revolutionary for radical “progressivism” and sees his role to be the President who ended American imperialism. Therefore I donKt think he would ever do as you suggest he might.
