Romney accuses Obama of not protecting troops

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney delivered a scathing criticism of President Obama's Afghanistan strategy Friday night, accusing the president of delivering rhetoric and not action in the war-torn country.

Quoting from a speech Obama delivered in March, Romney agreed with the president "that 'we are in Afghanistan to confront a common enemy that threatens the United States, our friends and allies."' Romney continued on seconding the president: "I believe 'that to succeed, we and our friends and allies must reverse the Taliban's gains, and promote a more capable and accountable Afghan government.'"

You miss the point.

Mitt Romney demands you eat his ice cream. No choice.
Citizens have no choice and no vote with Mitt Romney. Ever.
You have a better chance of marrying a cow,
which is now allowable under RomneyMarriage.

ROMNEY RESPONDS ON FACEBOOK!

"Our beloved Commander in Chief - whom by the way I can't wait to challenge on the basketball court - is doing a heckuva job. I call on my fellow Republicans to tone down their anger at the Commander in Chief, and allow him to lead our troops to victory. And again, I can't wait to meet the President one-on-one - on the basketball court in a inner-city neighborhood of his choosing. I'm a hacker by nature but I won't lay a glove on the man of the hour. Fist bump!"

I guess you like Massachusetts Romneycare too.

I am not voting for Romney. The GOP needs to wake up and start looking at Republican candidates and let the RINO’s wither on the vine.

I haven’t seen any sign of that.

Happy to fix that for you.

Welcome Back, Dad

"I've been trying to convince my fellow conservatives that they have been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we'd never see his like again because he was one of a kind. I was wrong! Wednesday night I watched the Republican National Convention on television and there, before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he's a she. And what a she! This was Ronald Reagan at his best -- the same Ronald Reagan who made the address known now solely as "The Speech," which during the Goldwater campaign set the tone and the agenda for the rebirth of the traditional conservative movement that later sent him to the White House for eight years and revived the moribund GOP. Welcome back, Dad, even if you're wearing a dress and bearing children this time around."

~Michael Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan

You like Mitt but prefer Rudy and you are not a RINO? Mitt passed Romney care while he was Governor of the most liberal state in the union, Massachusetts. Mitt stated he was stronger than Ted Kennedy on gay rights when he ran against him for the Senate. Rudy is anti gun, pro abortion, pro gay rights and sometimes cross dresses. I also know that NYC and Mass. have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country and neither one of these guys tried to fix that. Considering all that, how are either of these guys not massively flaming, alpha type king RINOs?

No Romney man has ever served in the united States military even though they arrived here to serve the Mormon church before the Civil War.

Romney was living in France during the Vietnam war with a religious deferment granted by the Mormon church while his father was running as the anti-war, Republican candidate for President in 1968.

To quote Mitt Romney on gays in the military: "One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."

Have the Romneys changed? Well, to quote Mitt Romney again: “one of the ways my sons are showing support for our nation is helping to get me elected.”

Keeping up the Romney tradition of never serving, five sons of military age.

I wonder why CNN would give prominence to an attack on their Beloved Leader.

Could it be that they think it worth while, so they can promote Romney?

The opportunists are sensing O Bama’s political weakness. First it was Disidente Juan McCain, and now Smiling Bob Romney.

Shades of ‘68 and Bobby Kennedy.

And if they do, there will be many on FR who will say, “No. We would rather have Obama.” In other words, if we can’t have the perfect angel, we would rather have the devil. You can fight for the perfect angel, but if it comes out gray, that is better than black. That is not my view.

These threads on Romney are predictable. I read them to find amusement. The anti-Romney crowd hates him more than Obama.

Personally, I’d rather have Mitt at the helm right now.

Personally, I'd rather have a REAL conservative or libertarian at the helm right now instead of either of the two liberals Romney and Obama!

I think you are wrong on both counts. Romney is a right leaning moderate, and Obama is a far left radical.
