Here's what's never discussed. Once they're on American soil, they are NEVER going anywhere else. Some may say that's a good thing, but those people presuppose that these thugs will never be released, or that they won't beat the rap. Unfortunately, with civilian trials and a civilian sentence, there's always a chance that one or more may walk entirely, or end up with reduced charges and a non-life sentence because of prosecutorial mistakes. It happens to the best prosecutors with seemingly "airtight" cases. These cases are anything but "airtight".

Then what? No country is going to take them. And, if they do find a country to take them, I can promise you that the terrorist will fight extradition, and they'll win because no federal judge is going to send them back to a country where they face the real possibility of torture. So, they're stuck here in the US with the real possibility of being released into the US civilian population, irregardless of what Holder says.

One can say what is worse, that if you thought gitmo’s closing was right and I DO NOT, but if you did there were folks in Michigan, that while they had reservation’s they had an entire town that relied on the employment of a prison that is now closing/closed. They had town hall meetings to discuss the detainees ability to be housed safely. Many were against, but, many who were going to be unemployed wanted to use their prison. Instead Obama wants to spend money we do not have, in his home state, to put the enemy on US soil. Kind of like trying KSM and the cost of that when we just built a courtroom in GITMO and they were pleading guilty. OH this is as usual all about the great obama. This is very odd to me.
