Obama Stumbles Again (video of Barry speaking sans teleprompter alert)

Barack Obama: you can dress him up, but you can't take him out. Every time he goes abroad, he embarrasses himself and sells out his country.

In Japan today, Obama gave a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Hatoyama. He was asked this question, for which he was unaccountably unprepared:

"And to President Obama, you are a proponent of a nuclear-free world, and you've stated, first of all, you would like to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki while in office. Do you have this desire? And what is your understanding of the historical meaning of the A-bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Do you think that it was the right decision?"

To understand how stumbling and ill-prepared Obama's response was, you really have to watch the video. In the end, the reporter repeats the question, did the U.S. do the right thing in bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki? And Obama refuses to answer:

Here's the key part of the transcript:

"... Now, obviously Japan has unique perspective on the issue of nuclear weapons as a consequence of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And that I'm sure helps to motivate the Prime Minister's deep interest in this issue. I certainly would be honored, it would be meaningful for me to visit those two cities in the future. I don't have immediate travel plans, but it's something that would be meaningful to me."

The transcript should have all the uhs, ahs, ums, added...although I understand that it would be very time consuming.

This man needs early retirement. Just resign, play golf, write a memoir, collect the beni’s.

With all of this pressure he's under, he might just snap like his blood brother Hasan and go on a rampage shooting us all.

Maybe a trip to the room with padded walls would be more appropriate.

"the PRC might ask him what he thinks about what happened at NANKING..!!!"

Nanking? You're kidding, right. Barry doesn't know Nanking anymore than he knows the Battle of Brooklyn Heights. I'm surprised he didn't answer the question with, "What's World War Two?" You're giving the guy WAY too much credit. For him, history - not just American, but ALL history - started in 1961. Like all narcissists, history began with his birth.

What an intellectual lightweight. Truly, he is the affirmative action president; a product of mediocre schooling. He deserves an F in history. If he did not want to answer the question, he merely needed to say so. However, I suspect that he was startled to field a question that requires a minimal expertise in US history. We know that back home he is spoon fed and never gets an unexpected question by the accomplice media.
He does not understand that it was estimated that the US would loose several million casualties with a Japanese invasion. Even more Japanese would have died. Okinawa and Iwo Jima proved that the japanes soldier was ready to fight to the death. WW2 was brutal and the public demanded a rapid conclusion. There were only a few back channels of diplomacy between the US and Japan through the Soviet Union and it was far from certain that the the Japanese leadership would have consented to unconditional surrender. After all, Japan still had a sizable contingent of forces in China, Korea, and Indonesia. Some have floated the idea that the US could have had a demonstration bomb, but the US had no additional reserve of A-bombs if the demonstration did not yield a Japanese surrender.
In the final analysis, the atomic bombs, through horrific, actually saved lives. In fact, the conventional bombing of Tokyo resulted in more deaths that the A bombs.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Zippy to point out the conservative estimate of over a million American and Japanese lives that were saved by bringing the war to an abrupt end. No, he's more concerned with eliminating all nuclear weapons. He'd muck that up so bad that the only country that would end up without a deterrent would be the USA.

All of your facts are accurate. You have said all that needs to be said.

Anybody who disagrees with your conclusion is either a.) misinformed or b.) disinformed.

There is no good reason for there to be any argument about this matter, whatsoever.

I receieved a lot of different ones in an email and tried to send them to you, but html isn't allowed.

Another good one - Obama is not Jesus. Jesus could build a cabinet.

A scary one - Please don't tell Obama what comes after trillion.

I consider that remark in poor taste. You owe many an apology for your choice of words.

Once he get's his health care bill passed he can send them all off for a visit with the death panel."

It didn't work when the Japs tried it on Bataan and it will not work for the Magic Negro either.

“unfortunately there are 2.1 million WW2 vet still alive.”

And it’s a shame that these brave WW II vets will die with this piece of crap standing over them as CIC.

What the hell were Americans thinking? I’m especially pissed at the 20 to 29 year old crowd who voted for this piece of garbage overwhelmingly. There needs to be payback to these assholes, but I don’t know what - yet.

How hard can it be to look the Japanese straight in the eye and say:

“YES. You made a terrible mistake. We fixed it.”

You’re probably right, but I might be right also in saying, “he doesn’t know how to answer.” I believe this man is simply a digital recording/feedback mechanism (sort of like a parrot?). He doesn’t “think” about things like other people do, he checks his database for what is “supposed to be said” for such a question ... when there is no answer already prepared ... he “blue screens.”
