Today is November 16, 2009.
Our country is in deep trouble.
We have a President who is demonstrably anti-American. His background and history remain a mystery. His goals and programs are the antithesis of traditional American values of freedom, capitalism, and representative democracy. He is anti-military, tying their hands with inappropriate and dangerous rules of engagement on the battlefield, and prolonging the inability to make a timely decision to send requested manpower to the front lines of the War on Terror in Afghanistan. This President cannot even utter the phrase “War on Terror”, and he is uncomfortable with the term “victory”. He constantly telegraphs his hatred of all things American by bowing to foreign dignitaries and kings, refusing to put his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem, embracing oppressive regimes and their leaders, and apologizing for America’s supposed shortfalls in speech after speech in front of foreign audiences.
We have a Congress that is out of control, and holds contempt for the voters for whom they are to represent. They seek to enslave us by instituting National Healthcare, by limiting our ability to produce energy and to expand our economy by instituting Cap and Trade, and by bankrupting us through the flagrant and wanton misuse of our financial resources. They continually disregard the Constitution that they swore an oath to defend.
We have a media that is biased not toward the truth, but actively engaged in facilitating the lies being issued by this President, this Congress, and this Administration in order to perfect the complete enslavement of the people.
But today, November 16, 2009, all that is about to change. Today is the end of the beginning, and the beginning of the end of the political power of the Democrat Party.
Today, a great warrior in that battle, Governor Sarah Palin, begins to travel this country and to speak out against an increasingly socialistic Federal government that is seeking to control every aspect of our lives. She is one strong voice for the principles we hold dear, as well as others whom we must champion.
Today, we no longer accept the premise that Democrats are the political answer to the problems which beset our country because “they won” an election.
Today, we decide to no longer accept a RINO-led Republican Party to oppose the communistic Democrats in Washington, DC. We will fight to rebuild a Republican Party that can win elections by espousing conservative principles. We reject the RINO way, which cost us the 2008 elections.
Today, we mark the beginning of the end of the rule of Obama. We resolve to fight for a Republican dominated Congress to be elected in 2010. We resolve to fight the stupefying lies promulgated by this President and this Administration, and to bring the truth to the American people.
Today, we resolve to fight against legislation like Healthcare, Cap and Trade, Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, and other legislation that seeks to enslave us. We resolve to fight the War on Terror as a war, and not as a criminal enterprise. We resolve to support our military, and to supporting wise economic and tax policies.
We resolve to fight for our freedom, because we are free men and women. No government is, or can be, our master. Our government is our servant, and it will be reined in to operate under the Constitution of the United States.
We resolve to elect the very best candidates to Congress that we can.
We resolve to speak out for the truth, and to defeating the siren call of socialism, which seeks to enslave our land.
We resolve to fight for the traditional values of America.
There are only 50 weeks left until Election Day, 2010. This represents the last time the American people can peaceably influence Congressional actions prior to the election of 2012. This may very well be the very last election that is not controlled and corrupted by the ascending socialistic forces in the land.
This is our moment in history. We are the ones who will restore America to greatness. We are the ones who will form a gigantic barrier to those anti-American leaders who seek to limit our freedoms and to make us slaves to the State.
We will work, march, and support the actions which will preserve the free country we were born into.
For no one else will do it. We cannot break the faith of those who have gone before us, especially those who paid the ultimate price to secure our freedoms.
We will not wallow in despair, we will not wallow in fear, we will not wallow in inaction and silence. No longer.
There are fifty weeks left to save America. There is no time to waste.
We have been given the tools to accomplish the task. We have the truth, we have a great conservative heritage bequeathed to us, and we have a bold spokeswoman for Conservatism, Sarah Palin, who today starts her book tour and the start of her campaign to bring good candidates to Congress in 2010.
Her fearless example, and that of President Ronald Reagan, in standing for the truth, for opposing evil and for fighting for a strong America, will give us the courage we need to prevail in the political arena. We will pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will empower us and guide us.
Today, we start.
At the beginning of our country, men pledged their fortunes and their sacred honor to give birth to the noble experiment known as The United States of America.
Today we pledge to honor them.
Our children and grandchildren are depending on us to bequeath to them the hard won freedoms bestowed upon us by previous generations of Americans.
As Abraham Lincoln said at Gettysburg on another November morning in 1863, this country will have “a new birth of freedom”.
And Democrats have plainly shown that they are the enemy of that freedom.

We can no longer deny what we plainly see. Our government is working against the interests of the American people, and they must be reined in.
We are not their slaves, and they cannot be allowed to be our masters. We are free men and women.
Some will say this is a pro-Palin screed, but I am only using her as an example of the courage that is need to win the elections of 2010. Her tour and speeches will give a face to the conservative movement and principles we are dedicated to. We must seize the opportunity to influence others during the next 50 weeks, to educate them on the perils of socialism, and how their freedoms are in jeopardy.
We may lose friends and family, but what is that compared to preserving freedom for our posterity? What is that compared to our God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
We are done resting on the shoulders of the work of others. We can be complicit in the Democrat progressive takeover of America, or we can fight back.
I choose to fight back.

I agree with most of what you’re saying but if we hadn’t already been fighting back we’d already have Commi-care and Cap and Trade.

I think the above sentence is more than a little dangerous. We need to be focused on the PRIMARIES until they are decided, and only then on the general election.
Otherwise we're going to be stuck with RINOs.

“I often get caught up in the Emotion of the Moment that the Obama Administration stirs up in me and others. The Obama Administration is purposely attacking everything that makes America - AMERICA. If you cherish a man and a women as a Marriage they come out supporting Same Gender Unions - If you cherish the US Constitution they will say its just an old fashion piece of paper created by a bunch of white slave owners - You pick the issue they will trash it. We have 9 Principles and 12 Values that Glenn Beck put together for our and other groups. I like the way that Glenn Beck approaches the Issues with Obama. Get the facts - lay them out in an easily understood fashion - make an action plan - take action. Listen to Glenn Beck’s Show - a truly Great American.
Trying to determine if Obama is a Muslim, a Muslim sympathizer, an atheist - doesn’t matter -What matters is the result of his Actions or Inactions. I personally don’t need any more evidence that Obama should go away.
Let’s give energy to what we want and starve what we don’t want! What I need help with is waking up the silent good Americans that would be with us if they would listen. If we don’t get to them we are Preaching to the Choir - the Obama followers/worshipers want us to be stopped and arguing amongs ourselves.

Correct yet Hoffman showed we are never “stuck” with a RINO.
GOP only puts RINO on the menu then I spend money an my vote with the conservative where ever they have found a place on the ballot.
I share your passion to take our country back from the control of those who would destroy everything good and decent and exceptional about it. The United States was once the greatest force for human liberty the world has ever known. In many respects, it remains as such.
It would be a crime of historic proportion to make of this great and robust nation yet another drab little welfare state filled with gray little people with downcast eyes doing routine little jobs for state-set wages and government benefits, all in perfect collective uniformity: with every ounce of initiative, independence, and ambition wrung out of them like discarded sponges.
I like Sarah Palin. I do not know if she is the person to lead us in recapturing the freedoms we have too easy ceded or the responsibilities we have too readily abandoned, but she is certain to be one of the early leaders of that movement, which as you eloquently note, has already begun.
