I just read "Helter Skelter" again. The jury was sequestered and had no access to newspapers; however, somehow Charlie got a hold of the headline and flashed it in the court. It was snatched from his hands before the jury really was able to get a good look at it and they were polled and none were able to say they knew what the paper was about.

While it was a stupid move on the part of the newspapers to print that, it happened after the trial had started and the jury was unable to get the newspaper. Like others have said, this pre-trial comment from Obama will open a can of worms.

I think that he is just not that smart and, when not prepped, says stupid things. The outcry was hugh on the announcement so he just blurted out. JMHO.
