Have a close look at the screencap. Notice what Norah O'Donnell's holding in her left hand? Those are notes, with factoids from the 2008 presidential campaign. She's reading from them to challenge a Sarah Palin supporter who was waiting in line at the book signing yesterday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
We all remember how back during the '08 campaign, MSM reporters would challenge people attending Obama rallies with uncomfortable truths about their candidate, along the lines "would you still support him if you knew he had the most liberal voting record in the Senate?" Or not. I certainly can't remember any MSMer confronting an Obama supporter in such a way.
But let people line up to express their admiration for Sarah Palin . . .

Norah comes armed with notes to debate Palin fans. Ping to Today show list.
I knew this crazy guy in college that would try to debate 7 and 8 year old kids at the local swimming pool about our public policy in the Baltics.
They are soooooooooo scared of Sarah!
She came armed with notes and debated a fifteen year old girl and lost!
Uncovering the truth... Pravda style.
Kind of like Kramer on Seinfeld , taking Karate classes with grade school kids.
I guess Norah doesn’t have a teleprompter so the notes will have to do............
Just when you think MSNBC can’t sink any lower in the gutter, they officially yesterday sunk even lower then that. Going after a child(I had talked to this girl yesterday online, she is VERY articulate, she even has her own blog) to what, try to take away Sarah supporters, even as young as 15 who cant even vote yet..and WOW she brought her own notes. When she asked her “Do you still support Sarah” it is obvious what Norah wanted to hear “No I dont support her anymore” then Norah would have probably gone and high fived her buddies. I wonder, are Norah’s parents proud of their daughter, turning into nothing but a whore for the DNC..that is what I would ask her if I saw her in person, Norah, are mama and papa proud of what you became..all those years in journalism school, and this is the best you can do..it was absolutely PATHETIC, this and hearing Sally Quinn yesterday suggesting that Sarah throw her baby off a cliff..just when I think I have seen everything, they surprise me yet again
What do you expect from a mindless news-reader?
The kid stuck to her guns. She didn’t start fumphering around saying ‘well, I don’t know, ur, uh if you say,ur I’m not aware..uh..etc the way most people do with a mic in front of them and this cheap tactic is pulled.
“Norah comes armed with notes to debate Palin fans. Ping to Today show list.”
She also comes to a battle of wits half armed...
No kidding! If that young lady was just a random pick out of the crowd, she was certainly a great representative to show the intelligence of the young people there. Having said that, Nora couldn't have said or done anything more that would have made HER agenda more clear.
The only thing she could have done better is to refuse to talk to her -
“you people are just looking to denegrate us, so why should I give you the opportunity?”
First of all, this is my first post to this site, but I’ve been an avid reader for years. This morning, I watched my DVR recording of Sarah’s visit to Hannity last night, and I was struck by how clear and lucid she was, and WITHOUT the help of a teleprompter. Palin in 2012, and I’ll do anything in my power to help make that happen.
I really liked the CNN anchor going “...there is people...” Nice English there Mr. Anchor.
Just listened to the whole thing, and it was infuriating.
One, picking on a 15 year old instead of the guy behind her.
Two, insisting (begging the question) that SP supported the stimulus when in reality she was simply not contradicting the top of the ticket.
Third, when they got back to the news room, the anchor praised her for “uncovering” the Palin supporters. “They have so much misinformation and it just does not matter to them”.
That last part REALLY pssd me off.
Yeah, like the supporters 0bama and the elitist democRats in general will consider the facts and consequences of their agenda and change their mind about their support.
If Sarah Palin is so clueless that she "sees Russia from her house", and the Mau Mau in the WH is just sooo smart that he's the saviour of his adopted country, then why do these people fear Sarah Palin so much that they need to smear her long after the election?
Moreover, a VP candidates support for their candidate CANNOT be taken as a true representation of their own views.
Anyone have the actual Palin quote?
Welcome to FR.
A Reuters video about the book tour only had two people commenting. They were both in New York City, they admitted far from the book tour, and they both were anti-Palin. Some news outfit that is.
During the entire GWB administration, the newsies at the press conferences READ their single prepared question, all of which Pres. Bush answered without any notesat all. Then they wrote about how stupid he was. The DBM is sickening.
Thanks, Slick. It’s a pleasure to be here.

There is this from her interview with Katie Couric. Somewhere in her response I think their is support for the Wall St bailout.
COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries; allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?
PALIN: That’s why I say I, like every American I’m speaking with, were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health-care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping the—it’s got to be all about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health-care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, scary thing. But one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.
Sorry. their is support should be there is support

This also is from the Couric interview.
Katie Couric: Some top republicans and democrats, may not support this bill if Senator John McCain doesnt because it may be unpopular and theyre not willing to take the political risk. If it doesnt pass, what is the alternative?
Gov. Palin: Th..the alt.. as I say inaction is not an option we have got to shore up our economy. This is crisis moment for America. Really the rest of the world also. Looking to see what the impacts will be if America were to choose not to shore up what has happened on Wall Street because of the the ultimate adverse effects on Main Street and then how that effects this globalisation that were a part of on in our world.
That’s really funny stuff. It’s changed back now.
I would love to see an interviewee respond: “did you come out here to interview us or just broadcast your views? You could have done that from the studio.” More “managed” news....
But yes, that quote does seem to be a VP supporting the (at the time) flagship position of her candidate.
As I also said, representing what one says as a VP candidate for someone else as being their own view is disingenuous; but par for the course for a partisan hack like Norah O’Dumba$$ who looked like a fool calling out a 15 year old.
O'Donnell comes off as nothing short of pitiful in the exchange, what with her notes and everything!
Welcome aboard. It’s clear to me that she has progressed tremendously since last year. Another few years of this type of progress, and who knows?
Palin’s biggest obstacle: Getting out of the shadow of that idiot McQueeg.
Picking on kids, typical coward move.
Actually it’s expanded on.
Keep it going Freepers.
I supported the bailout, because, I felt the government was primarily responsible and that having to spend a hugh amount to fix their mess would teach them a lesson. Naiveté in spades.
Norah is desperate.
Yep...the flack gets thick when you’re over the target.
Is that being modified?
I’m not seeing the funny stuff on my version.
Maybe Nora should run for the Detroit City Council...
I used to would hit it.
Keep trying. Mine has changed a few times so far!
I’d hit it.
It’s still there when I just checked-—really funny stuff!
I’ve seen a difference between
which shows the changes
which doesn’t show the changes
Not only a Palin supporter, but a Palin supporter 1/3 Norah’s age. Isn’t that bullying?

Maybe I’m wrong but the original bailout was supported by both sides. It’s how it was used in the ‘stimulus package’ that has raised most objections. The bailout McCain supported didn’t, for instance, call for taking complete control of GM, as I recall.
After watching the video, and PimpMan back at the station, I am even more livid at the MSM’s treatment of Gov Palin and her supporters.
