Norah O'Donnell Breaks Out Prepared Notes To Debate Palin Fan
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 11/19/2009 1:36:02 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Have a close look at the screencap. Notice what Norah O'Donnell's holding in her left hand? Those are notes, with factoids from the 2008 presidential campaign. She's reading from them to challenge a Sarah Palin supporter who was waiting in line at the book signing yesterday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We all remember how back during the '08 campaign, MSM reporters would challenge people attending Obama rallies with uncomfortable truths about their candidate, along the lines "would you still support him if you knew he had the most liberal voting record in the Senate?" Or not. I certainly can't remember any MSMer confronting an Obama supporter in such a way.

But let people line up to express their admiration for Sarah Palin . . .

I knew this crazy guy in college that would try to debate 7 and 8 year old kids at the local swimming pool about our public policy in the Baltics.

I guess Norah doesn’t have a teleprompter so the notes will have to do............

Just when you think MSNBC can’t sink any lower in the gutter, they officially yesterday sunk even lower then that. Going after a child(I had talked to this girl yesterday online, she is VERY articulate, she even has her own blog) to what, try to take away Sarah supporters, even as young as 15 who cant even vote yet..and WOW she brought her own notes. When she asked her “Do you still support Sarah” it is obvious what Norah wanted to hear “No I dont support her anymore” then Norah would have probably gone and high fived her buddies. I wonder, are Norah’s parents proud of their daughter, turning into nothing but a whore for the DNC..that is what I would ask her if I saw her in person, Norah, are mama and papa proud of what you became..all those years in journalism school, and this is the best you can do..it was absolutely PATHETIC, this and hearing Sally Quinn yesterday suggesting that Sarah throw her baby off a cliff..just when I think I have seen everything, they surprise me yet again

The kid stuck to her guns. She didn’t start fumphering around saying ‘well, I don’t know, ur, uh if you say,ur I’m not aware..uh..etc the way most people do with a mic in front of them and this cheap tactic is pulled.

She also comes to a battle of wits half armed...

No kidding! If that young lady was just a random pick out of the crowd, she was certainly a great representative to show the intelligence of the young people there. Having said that, Nora couldn't have said or done anything more that would have made HER agenda more clear.

The only thing she could have done better is to refuse to talk to her -

“you people are just looking to denegrate us, so why should I give you the opportunity?”

First of all, this is my first post to this site, but I’ve been an avid reader for years. This morning, I watched my DVR recording of Sarah’s visit to Hannity last night, and I was struck by how clear and lucid she was, and WITHOUT the help of a teleprompter. Palin in 2012, and I’ll do anything in my power to help make that happen.

Just listened to the whole thing, and it was infuriating.
One, picking on a 15 year old instead of the guy behind her.
Two, insisting (begging the question) that SP supported the stimulus when in reality she was simply not contradicting the top of the ticket.
Third, when they got back to the news room, the anchor praised her for “uncovering” the Palin supporters. “They have so much misinformation and it just does not matter to them”.

That last part REALLY pssd me off.
Yeah, like the supporters 0bama and the elitist democRats in general will consider the facts and consequences of their agenda and change their mind about their support.

Still more proof that MSNBC is circling the inside of the bowl. What reporter goes to report a story armed and ready for a debate, unless of course they're not reporters but opinion commentators. She's arguing with a teenager for God's sake!!!

If Sarah Palin is so clueless that she "sees Russia from her house", and the Mau Mau in the WH is just sooo smart that he's the saviour of his adopted country, then why do these people fear Sarah Palin so much that they need to smear her long after the election?

The quote that Norah O’Dumba$$ trotted out to show that Palin supported the stimulus was praise for the ability to ‘reach across the aisle to pass important legislation’. Nowhere in there did I hear any actual support for the actual legislation. Pretty weak sauce Norah.

Moreover, a VP candidates support for their candidate CANNOT be taken as a true representation of their own views.

Anyone have the actual Palin quote?
