Palin: 'Jews need a place to live'
Jerusalem ^ | 11/19/09 | JTA

Former US vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin disagrees with the Obama administration's demand that Israel halt settlement construction, although her reason for that opinion is puzzling to some (or at the least demonstrates she's not familiar with the term "natural growth" that much of the debate has revolved around). Palin debates Biden in St....

She told Barbara Walters on ABC's Good Morning America this week that she disagrees with the White House because all the Jews moving to Israel need a place to live.

"I disagree with the Obama administration on that," Palin told Walters. "I believe that the Jewish settlements should be allowed to be expanded upon, because that population of Israel is, is going to grow. More and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead. And I don't think that the Obama administration has any right to tell Israel that the Jewish settlements cannot expand."

...watch the large majority of Jews in this country continue to vote for and contribute to the rats.

The Obamination has lost a lot of support within the Jewish community as he has among the nation as a whole. 'Rat candidates, barring some unexpected uptick in the economy next year, will see some of that next year. The prediction is that they'll run, on average, 10-15 points behind their previous levels of support with Jews. They'll still get a majority, but their losses among Jews could spell defeat in certain close races. We may get a preview of that in the FL congressional race to replace the soon to be departing Cong. Wexler early next year.

The large majority of Jews, BTW, just like the majority of citizens in general, do not contribute to any political candidates or party organizations.

Yes, Sarah Palin was sympathetic toward Israel long before she became a national figure, despite the fact that the Jewish population of Alaska is small enough to be pretty much politically negligible. This indicates that her pro-Israel attitude is based on principle, rather than political expediency.

“Based on a very poor understanding of the Bible, I might add.”

What are you talking about? It’s a fact; the parallels to 1938 are pretty obvious. It has nothing to do with Biblical anything.

Bibi needs to use his support in the US to inform Jews on just what Hussein Obama is doing to Israel behind our backs.

The entire Jewish vote is minuscule, if you are saying that Jews can take out sitting American Presidents that do not support Israel, then it must be something other than the number of votes they represent.

As for conviction, there is the greater question of whether America should participate in any negotiation which involves a Judenrein Arab state next to Israel.

That really should be the issue, shouldn’t it. That moral failing crosses party lines

His anti Jewish posts were contemptable.

Haven’t New Jersey school children put the “Moshiach” tune to Obama now?

I really don’t think that is her motivation or an explaination for her statement.

Agreed that Jewish absorption is a big part of things. But hat doesn’t necessarily have to anything to do with settlements per se. Ethiopian and Russian Jews aren’t why they’re building in Gilo. Also, the days and weeks statement made it sound that there was some imminent event.

Should have just said something like “the Jewish population will continue to grow in the future”. No big deal, though, as I see it.

Certainly better than how Obama sees things.
