At least 300 people who waited in line for hours to meet former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Noblesville left without a signed copy of her book, Borders confirmed Friday.
The former Alaska governor visited the Borders store at Hamilton Town Center Thursday evening as part of a book tour for her new memoir, "Going Rogue."
The store handed out 1,000 wristbands for the event early Thursday, saying those with wristbands would have their books signed, unless "unforeseen circumstances" arose.

Borders released a statement Friday evening saying they had planned carefully for the event, but that three hours was not a long enough timeframe in the end.
"Former Gov. Palin was extremely gracious, and engaged with our customers and unfortunately, when the event time concluded, about 300 customers remained in line, unable to meet her," spokeswoman Mary Davis said in the statement. "We regret that any customers were unhappy with this event, as customer satisfaction is a priority."
Those who didn't get to greet Palin personally were offered an autographed book plate, which Davis said was "satisfactory to the vast majority of those who did not have the opportunity to meet her."
Still, some fans said they planned to return their copies of "Going Rogue."
(The Indianapolis Star has the most details. However it is a Gannett paper, so no excerpts.)

Expect liberal media and bloggers to spin negative reports about Sarah’s book tour.
Expect planted ‘unhappy customers’ to be interviewed by the the likes of Andrea Mitchell and Norah O’Donnell.
I bought my copy at Borders today. No Sarah Palin anywhere around but that didn’t matter. I bought it to read; not sell for profit. The table was well picked over, like there had been a run and the staff hadn’t had a chance to straighten it up yet. A nearby table with the latest James Patterson novel looked pristine. The sales clerk said “I can’t believe how many we’ve sold”, or words to that affect. I replied “I’m not”.
Sorry, I missed something. what was debunked??
I would return my copy if this happened to me - and then go buy one from another store that hadn’t screwed me over.
They were right there at the store. Why DIDN’T they?
**********
IF any of this is even true, the story is that by the time they knew they’d been screwed over by the store, the store was closed.
Yeah, Borders the lefties favorite book store.
I saw and heard the video on this.
The chanting that went on was an obvious staged liberal Kabuki Slapstick
Maybe the store should become aware that customers will stop buying their books, and their profits will go way down, when they do things like trying to sabotage Sarah Palin.
You know , life is a b———and then you die.
My sister and I are going to try to make a signing.
Guess what........WE MAY NOT MAKE IT.............We are taking a one hour road trip.
We may end up with NOTHING..............
Haven’t you guys gotten tickets for a rock concert?
It was easy to see this would happen, it will happen again! Do not see how this can be avoided. Tiger Woods can not sign every hat that is handed to him, just the way it goes.
I was at the Grand Rapids book signing where they also handed out 1000 wrist bracelets. Two books also allowed.
Sarah came out of the bus at 5:30, and started signing by 6.
Didn’t stay until the end (got mine signed about 7:30) but am pretty sure she signed everybody’s book.
Why am I sure? In the morning line I was around 580 to get a wristband and that took 1:15 once they started. It took me 1:30 in the evening line once it started moving, and it moved faster! So I was farther back in the line....
So, 300 still waiting? I call BS!
No, because the price was double at Borders.
Did you get tickets, then later go back to see the concert and get turned away?
I was there. I was one of the 300 who didn’t get a book signed. There’s a lot of truth to these stories, and a lot of lies and spin from the people who hate Sarah Palin. I’ve already posted what I observed while I was there.
Do those morons want to her to get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
That's worse than Bush Derangement Syndrome!
Save our sistuh!
