Guys, if we choose Palin to run in 2010, we’re going to lose again...

Is it just me, or are others also continually unimpressed with Palin’s pathetic way of speaking?

She sounds like a caffeinated soccer mom trying to sound presidential.

Her propensity to speak in long, run-on sentences is highly distracting. She’s got the right ideas, but she’s the wrong messenger.

We need to put our energies into someone like Tom Rogers (Rep, Mich) instead:

Don't worry putz. She'll run in 2012 and win.

I think you should run for President in 2010. Good luck!

Putz AlanGreenSpam for President 2010! Morons unite!

Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!

Excuse me for failing to agree. As much as I despise Obama (pick your reason: evil, druggie, thug, socialist, liar, anti-American in values, un-American in birth, racist, shallow, thief ...), with help from TOTUS, he speaks like a Harvard graduate. I'd rather have someone like Sarah who says the right things than look for someone who says things right.

No, I don't want Sarah in 2010, but I would be thrilled to death to have her win in 2012, and I consider that likely. I have an open mind, and I'd consider other true conservatives who mean what they say. I'm waiting to see them step up to the plate.

I won’t be surprised if we both get flamed, but I agree. I like Sarah Palin, and was impressed with her in many respects. I also think she has a tremendous amount of gravitas(sp) and can do wonders for conservatives. I’m just not sure of the best way for her to influence the future elections. Somehow presidential candidate does not, at least to me, seem to be a good fit. Maybe more of a Rovian role.. with lipstick!

___________________________________________________________

If she speaks in long, run-on sentences that are highly distracting why is it that so many people are touched by her message?

The average person that hears long run-on sentences that annoy them turns the speaker off and doesn’t hear the message. So how would you explain the many folks that say she speaks in a homey, forthright manner? Or the hundreds of thousands that turned out at her rallies because they felt she was speaking to them? Drill baby drill ~ hmmm, long? run-on?

You obviously don’t like her and that’s fine, we’re all entitled to our opinions, but if she truly was that pathetic a speaker she would NOT attract the crowds she does nor would thousands of people line up and sleep out over night to get a book signed. I didn’t see people doing that for Hildebeast’s book nor Pelosi’s.

Obviously you have a problem. No one is running for President in 2010.

Bub, you need to get over it! She has a classic western Middle America accent just like most of us, and just because she does not talk like William F. Buckley (as you undoubtedly prefer) does not mean that she will lose if she chooses to run.

So, you can take your Tom Rogers and head on out to Harvard if you wish.

I’m sorry, but any dark horse candidate from a very liberal state needs to be building their own resume NOW, not trying to get pulled along in the shadow of a candidate that already electrifies crowds. Whether or not Sarah Palin is deemed to be the best candidate in 2012, she is already showing that she at least has the ability to ignite the crowd - including both the base and independents (when they actually listen to her).

And in terms of her speech patterns, I would prefer a plain spoken person who fully believes what they say over an ultra-polished anyone.

RIGHT! And care to let us all in on who you support (who any one of us would recognize that is): Pawlenty, Huck or Romney?

Is it just me, or are others also continually unimpressed with Palin’s pathetic way of speaking?

By "Pathetic" you must mean "NON-HAWVAD" and plain-speaking so that no one mistakes what she is saying for some typical double speak?

It about the MESSAGE moonbat, not how the message is dispensed

She sounds like a caffeinated soccer mom trying to sound presidential.

SO, DON'T LISTEN AND HAVE ANOTHER GLASS OF KOOL AID!!!

If you're annoyed by an accent other than your own and delivery is your only measure of a speaker's value, you were doubtless impressed by The One and probably voted for him.

Sometimes, it helps to listen to what's being said.

Goodness, the anti-Palinites broach the lamest arguments...

You are 100% right, but only because the next Presidential election is in 2012.

I think she has a fair shot at it in 2012.
