Why did they allow the fort hood shooter to give political lessons to captive audiences then?

He was campaigning as usual and got away with it because he was there supposedly as a U.S. senator. Nevertheless, it was a political appearance.

Palin should speak right outside the base gates.

I understand no speeches on base, but no personalized notes while signing a book is absolute bullshit. I smell JAG.

Freedom of speech outside the gate is fine. Plus, she does not give speeches at every stop so I don’t know why this is even being brought up.

If you give a controversial speech on an Army base, you must give aid and comfort to the enemy.

So you say anyone should be allowed access to military facilities, to do whatsoever they like? I think theres a limit to which things can be taken.

There can always be a question/answer session specifically for soldiers off base nearby.

“Why did they allow the fort hood shooter to give political lessons to captive audiences then?”

They shouldn’t have. Whoever let that slide should be dismissed if on active duty; fired if in Civil Service.

"Can't understand why no photos though."

FRiend, I have said it once and I will say it again.

The petty, incompetent and pathetic narcissist that is Raila Odinga's favorite cousin cannot stand any type of competition. He reminds me of the Evil Queen in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." I imagine Odinga staring at Rahm Emanuel, and asking him who is the fairest one of all?

One can only imagine his venom and outrage when Rahm reveals that Governor Palin is the fairest one of all, and THE FACT that Governor Palin is both respected and appreciated by the military speaks VOLUMES about his failures as CIC.

I say, Go Sarah, GO!!!!!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Most of them took their masks off after the Fort Hood terrorist attack, and all America saw was opportunists, careerists and other self-important weasels.

If they were in touch with the Soldiers, then they should know a hell of a lot better than to act the way they have lately.

First .. it’s insulting to suggest that Gov Palin would come to an Army base and bash the sitting president. She would, if anything, cheer the troops themselves and not even mention their CiC’s name. Any Obama bashing she would do in another venue.

Secondly ... our Army brass has become frighteningly PC at high cost to the troops. My respect for them has tanked in recent months. It sank to a new low at Ft Hood a few weeks ago.

Thirdly ... one son served at Ft Bragg. We were not so impressed as we were with other posts where he was stationed.

The notion of “Army being apolitical” is BS then.

They don’t want Palin to promote her book in “aggressive” manner and yet a Fort Spokesman is “politicizing” the sales of Palin’s book?

In short, it’s just another demonstration of being PC on the part of our Army officials.

No, diversity must be protected at all costs. Those not supporting diversity will lose their careers.

RE: “Mitt Romney is no threat to Zero — Palin is.”

****************

Agree — I was beginning to wonder if Palin had the ‘it’ factor to actually be POTUS but she is gaining in this regard every day.

Saw her on Greta Van Susteren’s show last night — second part airs tonight I believe. I was afraid Sarah might come across as too folksy but whoa, she was terrific, hard hitting, and Greta let her speak unlike some male interviewers who cut her off.

See a replay if you can — I was VERY impressed — she is tough, feminine but very tough. I look forward to the second part of this and feel Sarah can only improve with time —

I think it’s true that she IS a major threat to Zero and he knows it.
