A Los Angeles sportswriter who stunned readers with the announcement that he was a transsexual - and then later abandoned his sex change plans - has committed suicide.
Los Angeles Times veteran Mike Penner, 52, was found dead at his home, the paper reported Saturday.
In 2007, Penner made headlines around the world by announcing in a column for the paper that he planned to live life as a woman named Christine Daniels.
"Today I leave for a few weeks' vacation, and when I return, I will come back in yet another incarnation. As Christine," he wrote.

Poor man. Honestly, I feel sorry for him. Another man that bought the vicious lie about “living honestly”.
The medical community is culpable in all of this.
Their acceptance of this as anything other than a mental disorder is immoral.
I wonder what he/she/it will appear as in the afterlife...
Something to think about, methinks.
There is an email going around and there will be tens of thousands (HOPEFULLY) dumped on their office this Christmas season.
They WILL open them because a lot of their mail is donations.
Take up their time and give them a massive headache
I just printed off an 8x10 MERRY CHRISTMAS Celebrate the Birthday of Our LORD JESUS and put it into a standard #10 business envelope so it wouldn't look like a card. I also used a security envelope so they couldn't see through and know there wasn't a check.
I suggest passing this great idea to EVERYONE in your email friends list... make this a CHRISTMAS the ACLU will never forget!

You can’t say that being gay is a mental illness, anymore. The PC Police will charge you with a hate crime, if you do.

That's a kind and caring prayer for a fellow human being who was obviously confused and very much in pain. All I can add to it is a sincere...Amen.

Hopefully Mike Penner starts a movement within the transsexual community.

We are not far from that being actually true.
transsexuals and other homosexuals are the most to be pitied. They have no hope of ever getting therapy or being at peace with themselves when the PC inmates are running the asylum.

Just another day in the paradise that is a sexual deviant’s life. Yeah, let’s teach our kids to celebrate all this ‘diversity’ stuff.
Must’ve found out like others who have gender identity issues that changing didn’t make him any happier than he was before? IMHO Psychiatry did a grave disservice to these people when they stopped describing these things as mental illnesses!
May God have mercy on Mike Penner - a sinner like all of us - and may his body in the afterlife be perfect and as it should be.
