On October 30, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009, which will lift the ban on allowing people infected with the HIV virus into the United States after January 1, 2010. Currently, under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), people with HIV are ineligible for visas or admission to the United States unless specifically admitted for medical treatment, or are otherwise granted a waiver of ineligibility.
H.R.3792 would also impose intergovernmental and private-sector mandates by requiring public and private medical facilities to comply. CBO estimates that the costs of the would fall below the annual thresholds established in UMRA for both intergovernmental and private-sector mandates. $69 million and $139 million in 2009, respectively.

buh-dum-tsch!
Where might the authority come from, that the President with the stroke of a pen or pronaouncement can allow terminally ill and contagious into this country so that we tax payers are forced to pay for their medical care?
I know where the authority comes from when I respond “up yours”!
I was thinking the same thing. How can the resident just overturn immigration law with a signature? Total insanity.
There is an email going around and there will be tens of thousands (HOPEFULLY) dumped on their office this Christmas season.
They WILL open them because a lot of their mail is donations.
Take up their time and give them a massive headache
I just printed off an 8x10 MERRY CHRISTMAS Celebrate the Birthday of Our LORD JESUS and put it into a standard #10 business envelope so it wouldn't look like a card. I also used a security envelope so they couldn't see through and know there wasn't a check.
I suggest passing this great idea to EVERYONE in your email friends list... make this a CHRISTMAS the ACLU will never forget!

The Authority my dear Dogb, unfortunately comes from us, if of-course we leave it to him. I for one would really want to see a re-score on the Current Health care debacle, when they add the tab for every new eligible HIV-Aids on the planet.
Rab
"commander zero" just opened the door for every HIV person on planet Earth to come to the US for free medical and full benefits.
Sound about right?
