...Tina was our conservative friend. She was excited to be a part of the Olympia Tea Parties and proudly stated why she got involved in politics over the past year. Tina was sharp too, only a couple mornings ago we had a great discussion on the future of our Republic and how we felt true limited government conservatives should take back out political party. If you wanted any details over the massive government spending she would have them for you. If anyone thinks these comments are off color then you did not know Tina well. She would tell you where you could go and like Mark you always knew where you stood with her. She was the toughest little cop I have ever known. Tina has two children and a husband who loves her deeply. My gut hurts that I missed your Halloween party this year. Your memory and strength will help guide our movement to retake our party, this I promise you....

Found this via Michelle Malkin.
I don’t understand the point of this. Why are her politics (or any of the fallen men) relevant? Suppose the other three were ardent Obama-ites, would that make their deaths any less tragic? I’m just a little, itsy-bitsy unnerved that Ms. Malkin might be suggesting that, however lightly.
Prayers for all the officers and their families. We’ve lost good people to a monster who never should have been released..
Weve lost good people/children to a lot of monsters who never should have been released..
Uh, she wasn’t suggesting that at all. Go to the link. It was the president of the police officers’ guild who wrote it. Her post read, “Read stories of fallen Lakewood PD officers: Parents. Musician. And a Tea Party activist.”
I know. Lighten up Francis.
It’s not Michelle’s writing....she linked to it. It’s a memorial-type writing by someone who knew the officers. And it’s nice. He’s just drawing attention to the fact that politics had become very important to her lately.
You don’t find it of interest that she was one of our own?
I do, and may she and all of them rest in peace.
RIP Tine...you are the type of individual that made this nation great, and which shall see her returned to it.
LOL
Get over it! Michelle didn’t write it!
Her martyrdom won’t be wasted. Any fence sitting police officers must know they’ve got to be on our side going forward.
Huckabee and other populists are what get us these horrible crimes.
....and sadly ironic that she may have ultimately been the victim of a RINO Governor.
I am very saddened to know these officers were gunned down this way. It just doesn’t seem enough to say that I am sorry for their loss, and sympathize with their family, friends, and fellow officers.
There are times in life, when nothing you can do seems adequate. This was such a great loss to the families and community.
I’m a believer in tossing people in prison and tossing away the key. This is just one more reason why I think we should be severely tough on some criminals. Let them serve their time out. Quit feeling sorry for them. They didn’t feel sorry for the people whose lives they took.
Huckabee, honest to God man, you’ve got something here that will follow you the rest of your life. Considering what other people will have to endure for the rest of their lives, I can’t deny that what you are going through is fitting. I only wish this would be a lesson that every other elected official would learn from.
did you see the statement on huck’s website? disgusting. i hope fox cancels him.
Use the link. All the officers were heralded in the article.
Michelle didn’t write this.
I’m glad to know this officer was one of us. The fact the other officers may or may not have been, certainly doesn’t cause me not to be remorseful concerning their loss.
People address situations like this the best they can. None of it can be entirely adequate. We’re just human, trying to express intense feelings of loss.
I vaguely remember hearing about it, but no I haven’t read it.
I’ll check it out.
I was astounded to see how many clemencies he had granted compared to other states in the region. His state is small compared to some of the others too. Their prison populations should be larger than his.
"Should he be found to be responsible for this horrible tragedy, it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal justice system in both Arkansas and Washington State."
