Bob J Poll: Huckabee Supporters - Now that Huck is WillyHortonified, Will Your Vote go to Sarah?
11-30-09 | Bob J

Posted on 11/30/2009 2:30:18 PM PST by Bob J

I think it is a good Q. Huck was polling at least 8-10% of GOP voters, it's interesting to know whether those votes now go to the other evangelical Sarah, someone else or whether it puts Hucksters in the undecided column!

Is Willy Norton related to Willie Horton?

Those northern folk are all related, husbands work shift work at night and all the houses look the same.

“I’d recommend watching the book sales of Huckster’s book and compare them to Palin’s ...... starting this week.”

Of course, because we all know book sales translate directly into presidential votes...just ask Hillary.

I do support you and I will continue to support you, we go way back, but I think you’re in overkill mode.

I agree. Huckabee was too close to the criminal Clintons when he was governor of Arkansas. I would not vote for him, nor Palin. They have quite a background of what they did in Arkansas.

You should change thant to your Palin hatred obsession.
He wants to know how people vote but won’t tell you who he supports.

Huckabee played the spoiler with Evangelicals in 2008, ensuring that Fred Thompson lost in the South.

I was expecting him to play the same role again, this time undermining Sarah Palin. So, it’s a big plus for her that he is now out of it. Even his endorsement isn’t going to mean much, at this point.

Sarah is a Pentecostal, and I think that Evangelicals will sympathize with her. So will Catholics, at least traditional minded Catholics who support the right to life and real marriage.

The one place where Mitt Romney’s religion works against him is with Evangelicals. That was obvious enough in the last race. And now he’s got conservatives solidly against him as well. I don’t think he stands a chance, although I shudder to think what the Republican leadership may be planning in the way of stupid manipulation of the primary process.

In all fairness, there ARE no candidates yet.

Bit early.

How many Huckabee supporters ended up voting for McCain?

Obviously not enough but I am thinking probably many.

I don’t know why a Huckabee supporter would not vote for Palin.

One question regarding Bob J’s prior poll: if Cheney is our saviour de jour, why didn’t he run in 2008 when he actually had a chance to save the nation from the Marxist Obama? I’d say he’s a day late and won’t run. If he doesn’t run, which pedigreed purebred warhorse from the GOP’s “electable” beltway stable will you trot out next?

Within the context of Huckabee’s potential run for the 2012 Republican nomination for President (only) this sad, despicable and unfortunate event is a personal answer to prayer.

I will never get over Huckabee staying in the last primary way past the point it made sense other than to play the role of a spoiler...to ace the nomination for McCain. That was no mistake. It revealed clearly that Huckabee is, under the best of interpretations, NOT a movement conservative willing to subordinate personal interests to that of the conservative cause.
