McCain hasn't been "going" for a very long time now. It's only his incumbency that keeps him propped up.

Can’t think of anyone better, more experienced in the Political arena than Dick Cheney.

Cheney is everything you say he is, but a fearless champion who can get up on a podium and ignite the passions of conservatives coast to coast, he is not. Much as I love him, if we put another old white guy up against Obama, we're gonna lose - no matter how well qualified he is to be CIC.

Read the handwriting on the wall. It's writ large enough for any of us to see it without glasses. It will be Sarah in 2012.

Book signing starts at 11:00 am. Store opens at 9:00, line starts at 6:00 am! Maya can hardly wait. :-)

Daniels definitely focuses more on financial conservatism and pro-business pro-jobs free market solutions, but he’s never done anything I’m aware of that’s inconsistent with social conservatism.

Something in the last nomination cycle put a seed into people’s heads that there are “fiscal conservatives” and “social conservatives.” The vast majority of us are both - it’s not one or the other.

I think Sarah emphasizes social conservatism more, and Daniels emphasizes fiscal conservatism more, but I haven’t seen anything from either of those two that suggests that they aren’t good, all-around conservatives - and a damn good ticket for us!

The question is whether Daniels is a dedicated social conservative, and it sounds like he is not, that would mean that he is not conservative enough.

Yes and no. What I meant is that I will probably vent some very real emotional relief, if Sarah Palin is elected President in 2012.

Think for a moment about all the damage that Obama and his commie cronies have already done to the foundations of our country. Think for a moment of all the very real damage that they might yet inflict on us and the stability of our nation.

It boggles the mind, frankly. I don't think any one of us have ever seen a threat of such immense proportions unleashed upon us.

What these Marxists are doing to us has created a level of hurt, anger, sadness, fury, worry, anxiety, and other deep-seated emotions in me that I have scant ability to mitigate. I see the massive pillars of the greatest nation the world has ever known, being mercilessly bombed by the leftist jihad every day of the week, and it horrifies me no end.

What sort of relief do you think you'll feel when this monstrous threat and devastation has finally been stopped?

I don't know about you, but I'm afraid that I'm going to be shedding real tears of joy when that day comes.

Palin had to choose between the two and you wanted her to choose the other, how about you make your case for him?

Tell us why you prefer him. Also you might tell these people that the 527 organization that is pushing this BS is part of a third party movement with one of their officers running for vice president of the United States, why don’t you call Howard Dean for some phony attacks on the republican as well?

Do you have tickets for the booksigning?

Unfortunately, no. I heard the news about the tickets being sold out, and was shocked, because that was the first I'd heard that there even were tickets to this event.

I was only hoping to join the crowd, and hopefully get a glimpse of Sarah at some point.

If I work fast, I can probably get there by 2:00PM. Is the book signing supposed to go on til then?

I liked Hunter in the 08 primaries (don’t really know anything about DeMint), but I honestly don’t think he’s got the image or the cool factor that it will take to survive the primaries in 2012.

This is a curious line of thought you’re expressing. Daniels and Palin are both conservatives and have enacted what appears to be across-the-board conservative policies in governing their respective states, but you consider Daniels a Mitt Romeny-like RINO because he’s not a “dedicated social conservative?” How does one even attain that label?

I’m 100% for weeding out RINOs, but actions mean a lot more to me than words - if our representatives are governing conservatively, I don’t need flim-flam speeches about how much their ideals mean to them to accept their conservatism as true and valid. Hollow words and promises are how Obama bewitched a lot of easily misled independents to support him. Show me their record, not what they say.

Besides, Sarah needs a conservative partner on the ticket that compliments her, and Daniels is a good fit. It’s like a modern day Reagan/Coolidge ticket.

From what I've heard, if she's running late, Sarah stays to finish those in the lines... I'm not sure there will even be lines, because of the cramped location of the book store itself. It faces north. On the west side is the freeway (Dallas Parkway/Tollway). It's in one of those outdoor mall type places, where you can walk from store to store; facing the store to the north is a parking garage, which I'm sure will be blocked for ticket holders only. To the east of the store is a 'faux' street with storefronts, 1 car only can go in either direction on it. The store doesn't have a back, it is backed by a Williams-Sonoma store on its southside. I have no idea where Sarah's bus will park, unless it parks right in front of the bookstore. Here's a map of sorts to give you an idea. There is simply NO place for a huge amount of people to stand around waiting on Sarah!
