Posted on 12/05/2009 12:04:09 PM PST by mgist
History's most notorious Georgian-turned-Russian, the politically astute Joseph Stalin once remarked, "The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything."
The lesson has not been lost on the increasingly notorious Hungarian-cum-American George Soros.
A group backed by Soros is gearing up to steal the 2012 election for President Obama and congressional Democrats by installing left-wing Democrats as secretaries of state across the nation. From such posts, secretaries of state can help tilt the electoral playing field.
This is, of course, the same Soros, the same hyperpolitical left-wing philanthropist who makes no secret of his intention to destroy capitalism. In an interview with Der Spiegel last year, Soros said European-style socialism "is exactly what we need now. I am against market fundamentalism. I think this propaganda that government involvement is always bad has been very successful -- but also very harmful to our society."
The vehicle for this planned hijacking of democracy is a below-the-radar non-federal "527" group called the Secretary of State Project. The entity can accept unlimited financial contributions and doesn't have to disclose them publicly until well after the election.
It was revealed during a panel discussion at the Democratic Party's convention last year that the Democracy Alliance, a financial clearinghouse created by Soros and Progressive insurance magnate Peter B. Lewis, approved the Secretary of State Project as a grantee. The Democracy Alliance aspires to create a permanent political infrastructure of nonprofits, think tanks, media outlets, leadership schools, and activist groups -- a kind of "vast left-wing conspiracy" to compete with the conservative movement. It has brokered more than $100 million in grants to liberal nonprofits, including ACORN.

Isn’t that why ACORN was spawned?
I’ve been saying this for a year now.
Good post. Something to keep an eye on.
Scary part is that Soros gives money to John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and others in the GOP.
Also, as much as people make of Soros supposed new hatred of capitalism....he is a major Free Trade Globalist. I think Alan Keyes had it correct when he stated that Free Trade was the end around to Socialism. Soros is your poster child for this
Maybe even scarier....is that people who so blindly support Free Trade are aiding and abetting Soros and his minions. Free Trade, like Socialism and Communism, is just another failed wealth redistribution scheme
The republicans are so lost. This guy will clean their clock
The republicans are so lost. This guy will clean their clock
Soros already owns a few of their clocks....
It’ll just haste the upcoming civil war. Folks used to laugh at me a couple of years ago when I stated that we were going to have no recourse. Now, I read it all the time in blogs.
There will be no other choice. Libs have no talent, save to lie and cheat. They will not go peacefully.
Evil most foul.
They have no chance of winning. They are communists. We all know that. Nobody but communists will vote for Obama.
So, what are their choices? Like Stalin said, “it isn't who votes, it is who counts the votes”...............
This is America it isn't Venezuela, Cuba, Russia............
but they don't own guns and the military and national guard will not be on their side!
It is going to be hopeless.....unless the Tea Party members take to the streets to combat whatever Soros and his minions put out there. We will have to go door to door and educate people not to listen to anything the dems tell them. Let them know that our country is lost if they don’t elect Republican Secretaries of States. We can’t take the chance that advertising or campaigning alone will get the job done. We absolutely have to get out there door to door. Probably should start right now. It’s going to be a touch job, but I think that we are smarter and more dedicated than ACORN. So get busy all. Getting the information contained in this post to your local newspaper as a letter to the editor will be a good start.
Like all other globalists, free trade is good for them, but bad for the rest of us. Same as the health care debacle; socialized medicine is good for us, but not for congress. Hypocrites. Evil hypocrits.
Good find! Thank you for noticing.
(Now, will Obama’s ABCNNBSBS notice?)
Er, CAPITALISM, not FREE TRADE. Sorry about that.
Here’s another scenario to consider: the country takes sharp “Cater like” dive into the abyss of economic malaise, high taxation, more inflation, persistent unemployment, international incidents, etc. and 2012 polling shows Obama well behind a field of Republican candidates AND a Democrat challenger (Hilary?). What does he do in a situation like this? Stick around and get humiliated or drop out of the race? The way things are going, a voluntary one and done presidency is not out of the question.
Did that really happen? If so, whoever those were who followed them, certainly changed (or stopped an attempt at changing) the course of history. Can you imagine our world if Gore had been allowed to steal that election in 2000?
Yes, it did. Only in Miami, instead of Tallahassee.
Yes we need an organization run by young activitests to use the face book etc tools the will be used against the RNC. The RNC is just not in the game. So maybe the TP folks can get better organized along with the own Move On Org.
I think there are Soros types who can fund it and would if they heard a plan.
The rich folks in the world like to hear a cogent plan before they spend money.
So...... I am in for work, Whos in charge?
This is nothing new. It’s the continuation of a project that has already paid off in Minnesota. Can you say Senator Al Franken?
“Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14”, a historic low, and the media doesn’t seem to find this newsworthy.
It is up to us. Follow the money. Chavez was Democratically elected. Coincedently, Chavez also campaigned on “change” and “hope”. Chavez also happens to have deep connections to Soros. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2232312/posts
Venezuelans thought they would never be as “stupid” as the Cubans, to fall into the socialist trap. Once Chavez got is hands on the nations piggy bank, no one could get him out. He changed the constitution. Like all historical despots, Obama will try to rig elections, put up fake opposition/candidates, and manipulate news.
With your trillions of dollars in this man’s hands, you should be very concerned. May God have mercy on this country.
CommonSenseCitizens.net began in Dallas and is spreading over Texas. Other states should adopt their strategies if they haven't begun already. They organize by signing people up and splitting them up by zip code and precinct. Another is goooh.com. They are signing up ordinary citizens to run for office and they must pledge to keep their values or they are out, period. The point is to get voting blocs that can wield power in each precinct on up.
This is the exact reason we must get rid of Rino Sam Reed, Washington state’s worthless Secretary of State. I’ve lost tract of the many times he has either sat by or outright aided the Democrats in stealing an election. Regardless of how often or loud the grassroots R’s scream and holler, the R leadership always knocks themselves out to reelect this Leftist bum.
They are TOTALLY paranoid. Here is a direct quote at the top of the sos Home Page;
Can we afford another stolen election? Take the pledge stop Republicans from stealing the election.
Nice huh? What a bunch of nut cases. Here is the lineup
Who We Are: Becky Bond works for a socially progressive mobile telephone company based in San Francisco. She serves on the board of the New Organizing Institute* and ActBlue.com*.
Lola Elfman has been an organizer and trainer for The New Organizing Institute* since 2007, she served as Internet Director for Phil Angelides campaign for California Governor*, and was a consultant with M+R Strategic Services*.
Megan Hull was a Project Director for Democracy Reform at the Center for Civic Participation*. In 2004, she was a Co-Director of the coalition that investigated polling place problems and vote counting irregularities in Ohio and New Mexico.
Michael Kieschnick is a social entrepreneur based in San Francisco. He is also a board member of the League of Conservation Voters, among other progressive organizations.*
This is so important. We can't afford to take our eyes off of this. Let's keep it front and center.
If it happened in Tallahassee, too, forgive my ignorance.
We certainly need to see that this does not happen.
Feeling a little flabbergasted, I asked what he meant. He replied, "Someone from the Democratic candidate came by yesterday and left me this potted plant (the potted violets were pointed to at a conspicuous spot on a table.) What did you bring me?" I then explained that my candidate did not bring a bribe but, rather, more reasoned and responsible approach to governance.
To that quick reply, the codger asked, "So you didn't bring me anything?" I then wished the good citizen a fine day and left. In the ensuing meetings with the electorate, I began to notice potted plants, pen sets, and other brick-a-brack from the Dem candidate already in the clutches of the good citizenry.
Issues be damned, the Democratic won in a landslide.
Conservatives need a “Save Our Secretaries of State” project (SOSOS? Is that too close to Soros?).
Is there an enterprising Freeper out there who has already compiled a listing of the States’ Secretaries and their ties?
There is a reason that Soros mettled in Ukraine and Georgia. The Russians needed an excuse to whip up their population, and the Russians contracted with Soros to throw out the governments in Ukraine and Georgia (Which were not strongly loyal to Russia in the first place). When the time comes, the color revolution presidents will be replaced by hardcore Russian/Neo-Soviet loyalists (again with Soros’s help).
Remember that Soros probably was (and still is) an agent of the Russian Government.
That's sickening. I've heard in the old USSR it was standard practice for the voters to be plied with vodka to get them down to the precinct.
Today in my neighborhood a young guy & girl came by claiming to be "working with the registrar of voters". They asked if people with the names on the voter list they held still lived at the house I was standing in front of (it was mine, but they didn't ask). At first I said "yes he does ... yes she does ...", but then I asked them to prove who they worked for. They produced a card that indicated they were working for the Democratic Party. I told them they were misrepresenting who they were working for, and to get the he## out of here.
I wonder if they were looking for people who no longer belong on the voter rolls (moved away, died, etc.) so they could safely mail in the votes for those former voters come election time. There is one person listed in my household who hasn't used my address to vote in years, and I'd have gladly informed the real Registrar of that fact, but not someone with axes to grind. I don't think this county purges anyone from the voter rolls anymore - it's ripe for fraudsters. Loretta Sanchez beat out Dana Roherbacher here with the help of documented (but dismissed) voter fraud.
Suspicious me, but I wouldn't put it past the Democrats to use such a method to steal votes.
