Saudis funds most mosques and terror. Now it might be heading back to bite them.

Welcome to TROP, Saudi Arabia. Remember 9/11/2001?

.
GW was liplocking with them and Bambi genuflects for them. Yemen will not bite Saudi — the US will make sure of that, whether we like it or not.

Is it possible that everyone on both sides might get killed off. I mean I need some good news. Perhaps Mecca might get flattened in the process. Iran vs Saudi Arabia, oh this could be so delightful.

So, do we go to the Kingdom of Saud next to make things stable or do we just let them all kill each other?

You completely understand the world.

Iran is escalating against an American ally. The war is with Iran.

Your glee is pitiful.

Hopefully this will clarify things for the Saud family. They have been trying to maintain an old fashioned royalist system that is hopelessly outdated in the modern world. So while the royal family may continue, their way of doing business must be updated.

To start with, they have a standing army of 120,000, with 130,000 in their national guard. This is with a population of 29M, with 6M non-nationals.

They, and a bunch of other Sunni states, are menaced by Iran, with a population of 66M, and active duty and reservist forces of about one million men. Four times as large as the Saudi army.

So Saudi Arabia needs to start doing deals with other Sunni nations and Iraq ASAP. The Saudis could easily afford to host one or two of the Iraqi combat divisions, as well as one or two divisions from Egypt, and some degree of support from Jordan.

The Iraqis would be an added bonus, because they could send units that are reliable, yet are Sunni, Shiite and Kurd. This means they could act around Shiites without raising fears that they would butcher them.

If the Shiites are involved, Iran is behind it. Iran is the center of Shia Islam for the entire world.

Bad for the most part as lots of people will die.
Good as they will be mostly muslims.
Bad if the Iranians gain control and declare the
Caliphate.
Bad as then the war will begin in ernest against
the west, then a lot of people will die.
Bad as too many of them will be westerners.

Iran is backing the Shiite rebels in Yemen. Several Iranian ships loaded up with weapons were seized in the Red Sea by Yemeni, Saudi and Egyptian naval units. Problem for Saudi Arabia is the Shiite rebels crossed the border and occupied several small Saudi towns. The inability of the Saudi National Guard (unit directly under Royal control) to retake the towns is a blow to the prestige of the House of Saud. Jordan is sending in Commando troops, and I hear Egypt is on standby to help with troops if needed.

Iran is backing the Yemeni Shiites to destabilize the Saudis in their backdoor.

When it totally upsets the world trade in oil and when you see the results of how stupid our government has been in not developing our oil production on US soil or US controlled soil as a national security issue, you will be sad.

We could be in the same pickle as the European nations who suddenly found out how important Russian energy is to them.

There is no reason we could not be independent of the fickin sauds by now. US citizens are continuing to let obama dictate our energy non policies. Hopefully, they will wake up and go to Washington soon with proverbial pitchforks in hand.
