A bid by Florida cops to probe whether Tiger Woods mixed a powerful potion of painkillers, sleeping pills and booze before he crashed near his home was rejected by a Sunshine State district attorney, according to a newly disclosed document.
The report states Woods had access to the sleeping medicine Ambien and the painkiller Vicodin.
The state attorney for Orlando, Fla., brushed off a subpoena request by the Florida Highway Patrol to obtain blood tests from Health Central Hospital, where Woods was taken after the Nov. 27 crash, according to the subpoena request obtained by the Herald.

yes you can - if you crash your car and the police who respond don’t have a suspicion that you are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs then the law does not permit them to go on a fishing trip for evidence well after the incident.
Everyone has the same rights - you and Tiger Woods. You can have affairs too.
Wow. I don’t know what Florida’s laws are concerning drinking and driving, but many states demand a breathalyzer or blood sample or license forfeiture.
What are Florida’s laws on this? I can’t believe they can block testing.
I know of no state where that is the law. If one admits to being the driver (and most do) that is plenty to convict.
it’s my understanding that, here in Illinois, the keys just have to be considered in your control. so if you are going to sleep it off in your car, place the the keys outside somewhere.
Ambien? Nasty stuff! I almost burnt down my house when I was on it! If you, or any of your blood relatives have a history of sleep-walking, don’t take it!
The first time I took Ambien about five years ago I was seeing things. For instance the ceiling fan was a crop duster “dive bombing” the bed. So I don’t doubt Tiger’s reason for the accident and lying in the yard snoring.
Not long ago I took half an Ambien. Some time later, having forgotten I’d taken half a pill already, I took a whole pill. I vaguely remember my wife saying “You’re over medicating” and me responding by saying “I’m fine.” I let the dogs out and I was trying to catch them while my wife was trying to catch me. I fell down 3 times and only my wife and God know what else happened. I don’t remember any of it. Thank God my wife was with me the whole time because if the cops had showed up and told me I’d done something horrible I couldn’t have denied it. I’ve never taken another Ambien and won’t.

Don’t talk to the cops. You can’t be compelled to tell them anything. I wish these troopers would put their efforts into catching real criminals like murders, rapists, burglers, etc...
Considering that Phil Mickelson is known to booze, gamble and cheat on his wife as well, Tiger’s just one of the guys. The latest:
-number of hoes is now at 10, including a waitress and Perkin’s Pancakes and a porn star.
-Standard MO was to hang out in the VIP section somewhere and send his bodyguards to recruit girls.
-Report that he was rocked on booze and ambien the night of the accident
-Report that his favorite fetishes were pulling hair and doping himself up on Ambien before sex.
-Report that he banged on girl in a church parking lot near his home and in several rooms of his own house while wife was out.
-2 reports he never bothered with condoms or birth control
-He told the first reported mistress, Rachel Uchitel, that he was in love with her and was still trying to get in her pants even AFTER the accident that set off the media.
-Tiger’s mother-in-law is in the US to console her daughter and she is pretty ugly, proving that hot swedish blondes do not last forever.
It's called "implied consent". Most states have such a provision, including FL. Here's the catch - they have to arrest you first, then they can demand a BAC or breathalyzer. If you refuse, then you automatically lose your license for a year (at least in FL).
Tiger was transported to the hospital before police arrived on scene. Despite the witness testimony - that he was asleep and that he'd been drinking earlier - they decided not to arrest him at the hospital, and draw his blood. I'm sure that's not the way those officers normally approach injury accidents where they have "reasonable cause" to believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
I see now we're finally on the back nine.
