Global Warming Is Not Slowing

Due to the economic times, it is just taking a gov't mandated furlough in an effort to help the budget.

The decade of the 2000s is very likely the warmest decade in the modern record, dating back 150 years, according to a provisional summary of climate conditions near the end of 2009, the organization said.

Monckton showed a graph prepared by some of these guys that employed the end point fallacy. They drew baselines starting from about 150 years ago and chose the endpoints so that it made it look like accelerating warming the closer it got to the present. In actuality, there were three warming periods since 1850; one in the latter part of the 19th century, one centered around the 1930s, and the third most recently. They were each of almost the same duration and each had exactly the same slope. What happened in between them was a period of cooling that wasn't as great as the amount of warming, causing each warming period to end up at a bit higher level. Someone also pointed out that since we've been warming up for about 300 years now, it wouldn't be a surprise to see some of the warmest temperatures of the past 300 years in the most recent part of the 300 years.

These AGW guys are just crooks.

Funny, Dr. Phil Jones himself had this to say about the lack of warming over the past few years:

"The scientific community would come down on me in no uncertain terms if I said the world had cooled from 1998. OK it has but it is only 7 years of data and it isn't statistically significant."

Source Email

So, he admits the cooling is happening but is not significant. But in Copenhagen, the party line is that there has been no cooling what so ever. It would seem that they can't keep their lies straight.

Yeah, but it's OK -- I read that they bought "carbon offsets" . . . which I guess is another name for carbon credits . . . unless they're just different brand names? ;-)
