Closed Chrysler dealers to drive Obama eligibility
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | December 08, 2009 | Bob Unruh

Two lawyers have joined forces to assemble a case challenging in U.S. bankruptcy court the federal government's use of Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to bail out Chrysler and in doing so may have created a scenario that finally will bring to a head the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.

The attorneys are Leo Donofrio, who has launched cases directly challenging Obama's eligibility, and Stephen Pidgeon, who also has worked on the issue.

Their new case questions the authority by which the federal government and administration officials intervened in the auto industry, specifically allocating some $8 billion-plus to Chrysler, which later was forgiven.

Pidgeon told WND the clients in the case are former Chrysler dealers who lost their businesses as part of the "restructuring" of the automobile company. They have been damaged with the loss of their businesses, and the case alleges the Obama administration, through its use of TARP money, influenced Chrysler's outcome.

Donofrio told WND the core issue is the disbursement of TARP funds to the auto maker that were intended to help banks and financial institutions . The previous Treasury secretary had indicated such expenditures were not appropriate, and, in fact, a congressional effort to authorize the expenditures failed, he said.

So, along with a bankruptcy court challenge, a "quo warranto" case is being filed in Washington, D.C., demanding to know by what authority administration officials set up the financial arrangements with Chrysler and handed out taxpayer money.

That’s a new angle. Let’s just keep hitting the Fraud in Chief from every direction.

They surely have standing to complain that Obama shut them down arbitrarily—and probably because they contributed to Republicans in the last election rather than Obama.

At least that seemed to have been the reason why most dealerships were closed down, including some of the most profitable dealerships.

I am sure some freepers will say - oh let’s avoid this and really concentrate on what is important.

They also appear to be Tiger fan boys defending him.

We should fight every where against this coup.

I hope those who lost their dealerships get some satisfaction.
What was done to many of them stinks.

I am for that. Tie up the federal courts with obammy litigation—anything. Expose this fraud. How the heck is healthcare Constitutional? By what authority can stimulus debt be awarded? And reawarded with the “surplus”? None of this should go without challenge.

And in doing so challenge the legitimacy of this kommunist. Face this half-white/black all red punk down, and the suits that defend him courtesy of our expense. Turn the dogs and sharks loose to challenge his authenticity in every courtroom in this land.

He will politically self-destruct. Lets just turn up the heat to help him along.

Absolutely. We need to hit Obama in every way we can, including ridicule, which he is very susceptible to.

Anything that weakens his poll numbers and rightly throws doubt on his legitimacy also weakens his ability to push through all these unconstitutional programs.

It’s not as easy to be a Brown Shirt in America as it was in Germany. There’s too many real Americans.

I suspect that what was done to them was illegal. But, hey, the Dems have all the power so illegality is a nonissue. Look into Gretchen Carlson. Her family had had a car dealership for decades. It was successful. It was shut down instead of a struggling car dealership down the road as the other guy had contributed to Amy Klobuchar. Gretchen was near tears talking about it on FoxNews a while back.

I'm with you, and I'm getting sick of it. Time for FReepers to man up or get out.

My wife works for a GM dealership. One that has contributed to Republicans for 60 years. Care to guess what is happening to them?

They're toast as of June, 2010. And they were the #1 sales group for over 30 years in this market.

I’d love to see this happen, just to stick in the faces of the ignoramuses, who decry the “birthers”. I’m sure they’ll find a way to protect the corrupt establishment of this country from any kind of accountability.

They have been damaged with.....

Isn't this the problem others had before them? They couldn't prove they were personally damaged in any way by Obomas ineligibility?
These guys CAN claim they've been personally damaged.
I wonder.......

That’s very sad. I’ve purchased many GM vehicles over the year, but can’t do it anymore. No more corvettes, but the Germans have very nice products as a consulation prize
