“Mr. Lieberman and Mr. Nelson said the bill did not have the 60 votes it would need to get through the Senate.”

It appears we have a shot a beating this horrible bill!

"So whats so wrong about also getting a group of conservatives together?"

There is never anything "wrong" about conservatives being on the streets. I admire all the TEA Party efforts. I was out on the streets long before most have even registered on this board.

But what exactly have these street efforts stopped recently? What? There was a time such efforts could make a difference. The Obama/Reid/Pelosi era has change all that.

The socialists/marxists are now emboldened. They see this as their best chance within decades to further their Utopian agenda...hundreds of thousands of TEA Party Patriots in DC be damned.

All the talk and musings of RWII are just that...talk. Other than a few brave individuals and possibly a couple of small groups, no one is going to risk their livelihoods to fight the machine.

Are you going to be the first to be the gunslinger martyr? Are your buds, neighbors, regional militias going to waste their lives against a power that has unlimited armed resources; unlimited tech/comms abilities; unlimited monies??? If so, all is lost.

You and every Net warrior are not thinking strategically. So many talk about giving their lives to restore our Republic, but few are thinking what is the best avenue to do so.

POWER is still within the STATES! If just a few States said enough and refused to accept Fedgov mandates (even if USSC directed), than "We The People" would have power once again.

STATE NULLIFICATION!
Tell your Governors to just say no! Fedgov funds be damned! DC wants a fight and doesn't send the redistribution of Fed funds to the States? Okay, then the States don't send their tax receipts to DC! Then what? Does anyone really think that DC will send troops into a rebellious State in this time in history? This is not the 1860's! It won't happen. And that is why the above is our last best hope.

“AFP to Host Code Red Rally on December 15th
Thousands of Americans converged on the House of Representatives in November with our Congressional House Calls – both in Washington, D.C. and their home districts – to let them know we don’t want this brand of health reform. We want reform that puts patients first. That bill passed by an extremely narrow margin, showing Congress is divided on this issue.

Now the fight has turned to the Senate, and it’s down to the wire. We face hundreds of billions in escalating costs, new taxes, and government-forced health insurance backed by penalties of fines and jail time.

The No. 1 reason Congress has taken this long on this issue is YOU – Americans rallying for a fresh start on health reform.”
