Is it supposedly surprising that the government can monitor statements made in public? It would be a shame if Al Quaida could have a meeting on Twitter or set up a Facebook Group, and the government wouldn’t have any clue.

Good grief.

"The government is increasingly monitoring Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites for tax delinquents, copyright infringers and political protesters."

Looking for conservatives that they can call tax delinquents, no doubt. They're democrats - that's what they do.

I never say anything online I would not say in the town square or at my front door step.

In fact on the local boards , here in Roswell, I post under my own name, they "love" me at city council.

Evidently this administration thinks the first amendment guarantees them the right to judge the validity of our opinions.

Okay, if the first and second amendments are no longer to be respected, then I guess the 13th, 15th, and 24th amendments shouldn’t be either.

If you put it on Twitter or Facebook, its public content. Why shouldn’t they be able to monitor it?

On the other had, isn’t it a waste of time money?
