Motorcycle rocket launcher: definitely try at home

Motorcycle_Rocket_launcher.jpgStep one: make extra powerful bottle rockets by mounting model rocket engines to skewers. Step two: make custom launch tubes, spray paint, mount to fairing. Step three: mount launch controller within easy reach. Step four: commence mayhem. Congratulations sir, you've just managed to make motorcycling even more dangerous.

The Prius is eternally gay. Along with the PT Cruiser and any guy in a ragtop VW bug...

Sorry, you "Children of the 80's".
You can go back a bit farther to 1982, and experience the insanity of "MEGAFORCE".

And, yes, it flew.

Model rocketry has a defined safety code that requires a safe recovery of the rocket. Also, you are not to have an on board explosive device not associated with recovering the model. The engines also are designed and tested to work within defined parameters.

IIRC, the Estes rocket doesn’t even have a real explosive to pop the cork. It’s more of a gas that builds up as it burns in the final phase. Maybe that’s the difference?

It looks like something out of one of the early James Bond movies. SPECTRE used something like this to ‘fire’ an operative who had given out too much information..

I've always thought a truck air horn on a motorcycle would be fun.

I have long thought that rockets should be mandatory on all cars and trucks. An armed rush hour is a polite rush hour.

Yeah, I understand that. But really, they are both designed to leave the ground. Why the ban on one, and not the other?

My new wife had a VW new beatle. A hardtop, but she's into the Red Hats and had a red stilleto heal hanging from the mirror. I hated that car.

We just traded it for a Lincoln Town Car. Is that over compensating?

Prius destined to be eternally gay?

Adding rockets to a Prius moves it from "Gay" to "Bitchy".

Ol’ Chuckie was awesome in that movie. I would have loved to have had a motorcycle like that!
