What a relief. We can all breathe easier now that “Blow job” Clinton has chimed in. His methods and ethics are just so uplifting.

Yes, Clinton was a colossal blunder.

But have no fear, someone is following in his footsteps.

I was just watching FOX and the consensus on the panel is that Nelson will get what he wants and they will have the votes. Looks like there’s a very good chance it will get to the floor soon.

At this stage, it would be silly to let the bill hinge on Nelson's objection. Harry will cave and give Nelson what he wants -- no federally-funded abortion. He'll also buy off Bernie Sanders and grease Roland Burris' palm.

Then, the bill will pass the Senate on a party-line vote.

Then, the fun will begin in the Conference Committee -- where the House conferees will insist on retaining their public option and abortion provision -- and will go berserk over the Senate's individual mandate without a public option.

The House simply will not accept the Senate bill. And the Senate cannot accept the House bill. It will be bloody.

And, in the end, I would expect a.) the House bill to prevail so that b.) Harry would be forced to use the reconciliation process in the Senate.

I just read a press release from Mitch McConnel in which he says the bill that’s being considered now isn’t even the one to be voted on later. That bill is in Sen Reid’s possesion and has been seen by no one outside his staff. The press release is linked at Drudge. It probably deserves it’s own thread here.

Something was hitting my craw a bit funny with this current Dem strategy of the uberlibs, from Howard Dean to Olberman telling the Senate to vote no on healthcare. I knew that strategy of the flanks pulling out, allowing the center to collapse and the attackers to move in, then have the flanks come back in to crush the attackers and I wasn’t wrong, the Strategy at Cannae. Do not trust these Leftists with their crocodile tears for the public option, etc. they are sucking the Republicans in, trust me.

The Clintons probably see this bill as something to purge all of the nutwing elements of their party. When it fails (before or after it passes), they will swoop in to reclaim the “moderate wing” of the Democrat party.

Snow and Collins will save the day for them...

Hatchet-Face 'n' Li'l Suzie have been promised a bailout of Maine's disastrous state healthcare plan, be about $300Million. So don't hold your breath waiting for these two to do the right thing.

Smith,

There ain't no bill.

What Dirty Harry is hiding in his office is 3000 pages of TBD. To Be Determined at a later date by bureaucrats yet to be appointed, between now, when we start paying, and 2014, when it is to hit.

GOP Senators are making the rounds of the talk shows talking tough, being seen making the beau geste when they know damn well their chickenshiite compromises made earlier when their strenght could have made a difference, have made ruinous legislation possible. Repeat,

There ain't no bill.

Again, just like the Stimulus, we are handing the Democrats yet another blank check. God knows what they'll write on this one.
