I’ll stick with bourbon. It’s American, I enjoy the taste of good bourbon, and I don’t drink enough to worry about after affects.

You make a key point: I have a few drinks before dinner, and that’s that—never feel bad in the AM. If you drink a crazy amount of ANYTHING, you’ll feel it the next day.

Once I get started with Bourbon, I drink a whole lot! And I still don't worry about after affects.

Makers Mark fan here —— started Hennessey VSOP a few years ago. Those liquids have character; I have never understood Vodka.

Nothing better than a great bourbon. Try Basil Hayden’s small batch if you can find it.....smooth as silk, but cost over 40 dollars a fifth. I don’t drink bourbon to get drunk, just to enjoy it, 2 fingers a couple times a week..
