Jim,

As I understand it, the policy of this site is to strongly discourage talk of violence.
Just wondering how often the policies of this site are re-visited and re-considered.

Very true! This needs to be resisted, even after it passes!

The leftists are in the process of gaining control every aspect our lives through government controlled health care and controlling our individual use of energy via “cap & trade”.

When those two pieces of legislation are law, there won’t be much of anything that some bureaucrat won’t have control over when it comes to our personal lives. Everything from what kinds of foods we eat to the temperature of our homes.

That isn’t America, and it sure as hell isn’t a ‘free republic’.

Excellent post.

“Obama is not a dictator. Reid, Pelosi, et al, are not our rulers.”

And they are NOT more intelligent than we are.

The arrogance is what turns my disgust into loathing and wrath.

SO WHERE DOES THIS STAND? WHEN THEY VOTE ON IT, IS IT A DONE DEAL, OR DOES IT HAVE TO GO TO THE wHORs?

I pray this will be overturned by the SCOTUS. We need to find the best constitutional, liberty-loving lawers in the country to help overturn this CRAP. Where do I donate? That’s all I want to know right now.

From the rapidly growing ranks of the tea party movement, I’d say the majority of the people are beginning to see the truth.

Our job is to keep hammering it home.

The people are pissed!

Have you EVER seen anything OVERTURNED? If we did have liberty loving congress people in office AND if they ‘invited’ the best and the brightest from the PRIVATE sector, those who don’t have an agenda, then yes, possibly it could be scaled back/overturned. Do you see that as a possibility? Really?

A coup d'état (pronounced /ˌkuːdeɪˈtɑː/, us dict: kōō′·dā·tâ′), or coup for short, is the sudden unconstitutional deposition of a legitimate government, usually by a small group of the existing state establishment — typically the military — to replace the deposed government with another, either civil or military. A coup d’état succeeds when the usurpers establish their legitimacy if the attacked government fail to thwart them, by allowing their (strategic, tactical, political) consolidation and then receiving the deposed government’s surrender; or the acquiescence of the populace and the non-participant military forces.

Be not that far from me, for trouble is near; haste Thee to help me. Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

I'll direct your attention to a few years ago, when they passed "Campaign Finance Reform".....

Our choices at this point are:

1.) Vote in 2010 and hope a.) that we can get a Republican majority who will b.) have the guts to legislatively neuter this bill, or;

2.) Live with it.

“The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the
Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those
exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed — where the government refuses to stand for
reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to
enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once”.

Judge Alex Kozinski
