On orders from President Barack Obama, the U.S. military launched cruise missiles early Thursday against two suspected al-Qaeda sites in Yemen, administration officials told ABC News in a report broadcast on ABC World News with Charles Gibson. One of the targeted sites was a suspected al Qaeda training camp north of the capitol, Sanaa, and the second target was a location where officials said "an imminent attack against a U.S. asset was being planned."

Count me in as well. If I want to root against everything the other side does, I could go to a sporting event. Politics is too important for that. I will give Obama the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Also, isn’t it generally understood that there’s intelligence with a short shelf life, the president as commander in chief has the authority to act?
Congress gave Bush the authority to prosecute war against terrorism and preumably, Obama inherited that authority.
Overall, I still think Obama is a terrible president who is in way over his head. But he may have gotten this one right.

Oh wait...

Not so fast....Osama was from Yemen. All of the Yemen Cole bombers were sunnis and most were from Saudi Arabia. What makes you think that the current targeted terrorists are from Iran? Obama doesn’t have the stones to take on Iran and everybody knows it.
They are not from Iran, but they are Iran proxies. The northern part of Yemen is sh'ia, and that's who is causing the main problems there now. The Iranians will fund anyone who supports their cause - think al-Qaeda, Hamas, Syria, all mostly sunni.
So now we are at war with Yemen?

It sounds like a wag the dog play by Obama to take the conservative heat off of his marxist takeover of America. President Bush bombed targets inside other countries like Yemen....yet nothing was ever reported and when it was..it was critical. All of a sudden Obama is to be praised?

If Obama is so worried about ‘Iranian proxies’..why the hell didn’t he just blow the ‘proxies’ off of Iraq’s oil wells that they just took over?
