(snipped)

Hoekstra says that Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab may have a common link with the Fort Hood shooter that shot 13 people in November.

AFP, Dec. 26: There was a suggestion of links between Abdulmutallab and radical US-born Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Aulaqi, who had contacts with the US army psychiatrist accused of gunning down 13 people at a Texas military base last month.

"He may have been in contact with the American imam al-Aulaqi," Peter Hoekstra, the most senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee and a member of Congress for Michigan, told AFP.

Detroit has a huge Muslim population so of course, the Left will poo pooh what Pete has to say. Every mosque and iman should be profiled. Period. No more PC excuses. If one more American dies from one of these Islamofascist terrorist attacks, I want Obama to have to explain why, how, and who allowed it to happen since he thinks these are all man made incidents.!!!!

Exactly. The state-controlled media verified the Ft. Hood incident as not being terrorism. /sarcasm.

Hoekstra’s a good guy. Seemingly one of the few in D.C.

"May" also means "may not." I think I'll wait a little while before getting too excited.

Is it just me, or that pic, or does Hoekstra look a lot like a slightly chubby Schumer?

Time to get excited. It’s been confirmed:

NW Bomb Planned by al-Qaeda in Yemen
The Blotter from Brian Ross News ABC ^ | Dec. 26, 2009 | RICHARD ESPOSITO and BRIAN ROSS

Posted on Saturday, December 26, 2009 2:01:37 PM by gandalftb

The plot to blow up a passenger jet was launched by al-Qaeda leaders in Yemen who apparently sewed bomb materials into the suspect’s underwear.

The suspect had more than 80 grams of PETN, a compound related to nitro-glycerin. Yesterday’s bomb failed because the detonator may have been too small or was not in “proper contact” with the explosive material.

Abdulmutallab made contact via the internet with a radical imam in Yemen who then connected him with al-Qaeda leaders.

Yes, and Americans had better wake up to this fact. We are going to have to retake our country away from our internal enemies.

"He can't get those shoes off fast enough, can he?"

As Obama himself has said, he is a 'child of the world'. He belongs to the 'world', not to America, (a nation of he seems genuinely ashamed of). When he bows to foreign leaders it's much more about humiliating America than it is about personal humility. Limbaugh is right on target when he calls Obama "a little man". He's a smalltime, buffoon community organizer posing in a Presidential suit. It's as sure as a cold day in New England that Obama's legacy will be one of pure ineptitude and shame.

The world doesn’t want him either. Only in abu Hussein’s mind is abu Hussein a child of the world.

Obama has left the USA exposed. Treat terror as a criminal act.

Exactly. The state-controlled media verified the Ft. Hood incident as not being terrorism.

They can say what they wish, but just for an instant, when the Giant Voice, said to close all outside vents, along with taking cover and covering windows, I was pretty terrified.

I was hoping they thought they might have to use tear gas, but the other possibility was sort of, well, bowl loosening.
