Investigators discover stolen video games, laptops, iPods
Thousands of dollers worth of holiday goods didn't make it to their intended destinations and police say a deliveryman is to blame.
Ronald Lozano, a 38-year-old deliveryman with the United Parcel Service, was arrested Wednesday after a month-long investigation into the thefts at the UPS distribution center in Fairfield. Investigators say they found $8,000 worth of laptops and video game systems at Lozano's home. Since April 2009, police said that personal packages and commercial merchandise worth more than $40,000 had been stolen from the UPS warehouse. Most of the stolen items were video games, laptop computers, camcorders, cell phones and iPods.
Lozano is now on leave from his UPS job of 16 years. But it's not a holiday vacation -- he was booked into jail and is expected to be terminated fro his UPS job.
So what’s the big deal?
He probably breaks merchandise of that value every year. And since UPSucks has that clever little rule, “You have to sign before you open. Yes, that signature means that you agree that everything inside is OK. But you have to sign, then open, then if you find something broken, it’s too late.” And good luck collecting an insurance claim from UPSucks.

Dollers? What exactly is a doller?
First thing I noticed. Spelling is being eliminated from journalism and being replaced by rabid liberalism.
I once shipped a computer via UPS that arrived with internal damage. They balked at paying the insured value until I told them that I shipped it on a corporate account that shipped hundreds of packages a day and Fed-Ex was calling.
UPS - they wear brown for a reason. . .
I worked at a "hi tech" company and used to discuss tech stuff with him when he picked up/dropped off. He seemed like a great guy.
He always talked about his setup, and he had some great stuff at his house - better than we had in our office. We always thought it was because he made great money at UPS...
Turns out, the stuff was "falling off his truck"...
Eventually he was caught. I don't get how he thought he wouldn't be, but I guess lots of people fall into that trap.
UPS drivers are Teamsters. Still pretty stupid, considering UPS’ tracking system.

They don’t trust thier own employees.
That’s the weak ass explaination they gave as to why they won’t allow shipping of firearms. Eff ‘em

LOL. I had to click to make sure and see with my own eyes to believe it. Dollers? What a intercoursetard.
I used to work Christmas at UPS, in the LA “hub”. I had to break down what they call “walls”, which were packages stacked in the trailers like a wall. In my 4th season, something really, really, heavy fell on me, and threw my shoulder out. So, I was told to go to the Doctor, which O did. The Doctor prescribed physical therapy, which worked very well. Two weeks later, went back to work, only to find I was fired. OK, not fired, just “not needed”. Come to find out, they do this as a matter of normal business to reduce liabilities. I never filed a Comp. claim, as their insurance just paid it, never made a even a little deal out of it, because it wasn’t. But still, after 4 years of Christmas seasons, “not needed” was the only thing they would tell me.
I guess so. And thousands of them no less.
